Regulus Anatolii Adravendi

He padded along the wall’s interior, surveying the stonework critically as he went. Over time, as experimentation with various muds and clays had been made with laying the stone, the wall had taken on a sort of mottled, tortoiseshell appearance, and he was making note of what had stuck and what hadn’t.

His eyes strayed from the wall as he finished the circuit that had taken several hours – most of the day, really – scanning the plains with the same thoughtful expression, far away—almost dreamy. He was considering windbreaks of some kind, stationed near the wall, or at the center of the territory. At the same time, he was wondering at various ideas of what to do with the points of the wall that were open to allow prey and wolves to enter.

Something to allow sentries to sit and watch without getting drenched during storms, though he had to admit, during the winter, a snow-covered wolf resting at the top of the wall might be decent camouflage to catch trespassers unawares.

He wandered from the wall, head turning this way and that as he studied the lands, deep in thought as he went.

He'd left earlier that morning to see if there was anyone to spar at the battlefield, but his search yielded no interesting prospects. It was a little chilly when he set off but once the sun rose the light frost that hardly clung to the ground was easily melted away in what seemed like only a few minutes. Now the air was warm and the sun shone above, making it an all around pleasant day as far as Amos was concerned.

Too bad he wasn't feeling terribly pleasant himself. The young man walked home with his head hanging a little lower than normal, batting at a small rock as he padded through the grass. Honestly ever since he saw his mother again before joining he'd been feeling a bit... off. He hid it well most of the time, but today he wasn't as good of an actor. Today he was just a somewhat upset and exasperated Amos.

Arriving back at the wall, it was only when he reentered the pack lands and spotted a familiar red form not too far off that his mood began to improve. Tail wagging and an amiable expression playing at his face he would approach the alpha with a smile, "How are you today, Regulus?" he asked.
