So he'd set his paws once more to make the journey back south, here, to the battlefield. He had the vague thought that the wolves who tended to venture here to seek out fights were likely to be wolves who were interested in bettering themselves. Whether they would also prove to be wolves who would be loyal and trustworthy remained to be seen, of course, and there were sure to be a great deal of wolves there who just wanted a fight for the sake of hurting someone, or simply for bragging rights. There always were. He wanted to avoid both of the latter types for Niente if he could, but he was only too aware that he would be accepting wolves he didn't actually know very well no matter what he did. Except for a handful of wolves in was acquainted with in Celestial, he didn't actually know anyone here. Anyone he knew well enough to have trusted were wolves that would seek to kill him on sight, which certainly did make for a potential packmate.
With that unfortunate knowledge in mind, the elegant new alpha wandered quietly through the battlefield, seeking to observe the others there.
Zinnia had chosen her own path and Maggie knew it would only be a matter of time before she had to go her own way. The Wreckages were spread far throughout the lands, not that Maggie had run into any of them but her sister; but her desire to range drove her back north, towards lands so alike to her ancestral lands. Even in summer her thick northern coat had never quite shed enough to make her comfortable in the warmer climates and she knew, knew, she would need to station herself in the north. Still she had found herself distracted on her journey northward, stopping to satiate her curiosity about the plains she found herself upon. The ground seemed seeped with the faded scents of blood and the many many faded scents of wolves. A lopsided grin pulled across the Wreckage woman's face, there was some excitement to be found in combat though she had little taste for participating herself but that this land had been deemed a designated place to fight by the wolves that lived here fascinated her. The figure of another wolf appeared on the horizon before her and Maggie picked up her pace. She gave a friendly bark towards the unknown man, her tail wagging high above her rump and tongue lolling from her parted jaws. She probably stood out among the sort of wolves who normally appeared here, there was no hostility in her at all. |

The young lady began to saunter over the ground, her light coat reflecting the soft hues from the sky. Her blue eyes gave only soft hues, that gleamed softly. Her own form fled gracefully but, strongly over the ground. She began to run over the ground as she caught a scent withering among, the air; A man healthy. As she slowed her steps she caught scent of a woman, her aud flickered. She approached very slowly, Well these is great! I'll meet someone, or two someones new today!
A small smile crept up her maw, jowls curling upwards as her toothy grin came into view. Yet when she looked at them, they were different yet the man reminded her of her brother. She trotted down a slope and walked onto a rock, neither seemed to be threatening. She leaped off the rock a settled ten feet from the man, and twelve feet from the woman. "Hello, how are you? What are you guys doing here, you guys smell different. I think you man are in a pack, but I don't about you woman."
"Be caught under my spell!"

You know you love me.
But Enrico didn't have time to do more than blink disconcertedly at her for the briefest of moments before another, younger female raced up to them, though for a moment Enrico thought his grasp of the language was failing him, because he couldn't quite understand what she was talking about.
He shifted his weight, just the smallest of gestures, as though settling a heavy weight over his shoulders. Odd though both females were to find here, he couldn't let the strangeness throw him. There was too much at stake.
He favored them both equally with a dignified nod. "Good day," was his quiet greeting, before he answered the second woman's implied question. "Si, I am alpha of Niente. Tiercel, we call it. I am here seeking potential members for the pack. My name is Enrico Falcone. E tu?"
Maggie stifled a chuckle when the man turned, incredulous, to look at her. The woman had lived enough of her life; met others enough to know sometimes she could come on strong or her enthusiasm could be seen as weird. Another wolf joined them; she jumped from her perch; questions bombarding them. The man gave them both a greeting and Maggie perked slightly as he mentioned his pack and what he was doing here; how fortuitous. "I'm Magnolia Wreckage." First she gave Enrico a nod, then the other unknown woman got a nod as well. "And you'd be correct in saying I'm not currently in a pack," The first part was spoke to the woman but then she turned her attention to the man, "though I am in the market for one." She was curious to learn more about the man's pack but she'd hold off on questioning him until after the other woman was given time to say her own piece. She settled onto her haunches; making it clear she was very much at ease in the current situation. |
