Seabound and Aimless at Best

Winter had yet to kiss the lands of Celestial but Dómari had started to feel a chill in his bones weeks ago. Guilt was eating at him about what had happened with that black and gold woman. More than that, if he was truly honest, he missed his family. He missed them terribly. What had started out as a good idea in his head had only left him feeling more disconnected than ever. He appreciated all that Regulus had done for him but he wasn't sure he could keep going like this.

Fog was rolling into the moor as the sun dipped below the horizon. Dómari stood with in the ring of stones. Anxiety was building in his stomach but he knew what he needed to do. He couldn't bear to be apart from his family anymore, he needed to find them. Tipping back his head he howled for Regulus, hoping the other would understand.

Dómari waited. It was dark now and growing colder by the minute. He shivered and howled once more then went back to waiting. He wasn't sure if something had happened or if he was being ignored but either way he didn't want to wait much longer out in the cold and his resolve was pushing him onward. He had to go. Celestial could think of him as a traitor if they wanted but he knew what he had to do. He'd given the alpha a chance to say goodbye but he wasn't going to stand in the cold all night until he was finally acknowledged. Dómari thought about howling for the rest of the pack or anyone that still wanted to talk to him but in the end he decided to just leave. Disappearing into a quiet, winter night seemed like a good way to exit.

He gave the lands of Celestial a final look. He turned and shook the mud off his paws before heading out. It was unlikely he'd return.
