The forest didn't seem nearly as creepy as she remembered it with all this snow everywhere. That combined with the colder than normal temperatures seemed to disrupt the mist that usually hung around this place. It seemed more magical than mystical covered in a smooth blanket of snow. However, it did make walking a bit more treacherous since the snow hid all the brambles and things she would normally need to step over. Most of them were big enough that they made a pretty obvious lump she was able to avoid. Not all of them were that easy though. All of the snow was pretty deep, most of it coming up past her ankles at the very least, so the slightly deeper looking patch of snow seemed fine from the surface. Her white-dipped paw hit a spike from a vine and she yelped as she jumped back, falling back onto her haunches in what was possibly the least graceful way possible. "Fucking hell," she grumbled under her breath as she lifted up her paw to check her paw pads. There was a bit of blood dripping from it from where the spike had pierced her skin, but it didn't seem all too deep. Just painful enough to be annoying. She put her paw back into the snow and had to admit that the cold flakes of ice were actually pretty soothing to her injured paw. She was already pretty irritated as it was and this freaking mine field of a forest certainly wasn't helping a single thing. |
