Home was... stressful. Weird. Different. Wrong. It was only natural she'd get sick of the thick tension in the air and go running for the hills for the peace and solace a little adventuring tended to bring with it. She picked a new direction this time - north, rather than sticking to the eastern or southern lands like she'd done before. Probably wasn't her best plan, considering the pale wall of snow coming down in sheets before her that obscured her vision so bad she almost couldn't have seen the tip of her own tail! Shit, so this was what a real winter looked like.
It was so hard to see, she almost didn't notice the sheer slope in front of her! Caelestis reeled back, falling on her rump heavily and breathing a sigh that was a mix of shock and relief. After a bit of searching she found a tree a short ways back from the ledge to take shelter under, digging out a little space to curl up in and wait for the worst of it to pass. Dang, guess it really was important to be careful when exploring out alone. As she relaxed for a bit, she was pretty sure she heard lots and lots of water down below, though the slope she'd almost stepped over was so sheer she didn't have any plans of going all the way down there anytime soon. Nope, no thanks. Maybe when she could see she'd reassess.

The lady was shocked at how much she traveled lately, the yearling would be turning two soon.. God time goes by fast when you are hidden in the shadows so much. Today she was traveling to the north, but she knew she should have waited till it was warming. Well fuck, these could cause some snow blinding. Well if the clouds would uncover the sun, till then she just has to worry about falling over her own paws.
As her breath began to get louder, and her muscles ached she looked for a cave or something. Hell, a tree would work. She felt her paw slide from under her, dammit! She hit the ice, she then began to slide. She dug her nails into the ice, she growled lowly. Dang even the ground was frozen, she even thought about heading to auster again. At least for a day or two, she heard that it was dry season there. But at least they don't have any horrid, snow.
As she walked around her eyes began to feel frozen, as ice started to thickly cover her fur. She whined lowly, she could hardly feel her paws. She began to walk a little faster, though the pain in her muscles was getting unbearable she wanted to find shelter before she gave up. She could feel the exhaustion kicking in, she knew she had only a little more time before she would collapse. She turned sharply to her right, as she caught sight of a big blob of brown. She speeds up, as the heat emitting from the boulder-Wait heat doesn't come from boulders. The boulder was actually a wolf. She walked up to the wolf, as she neared she could notice it was a she, and she looked about the same age as herself.

Curled up in the middle of a blizzard, what a fine way to while away the hours. It wasn't too bad from the sheltered spot she'd picked out. The boughs of the young evergreen were layered thickly with snow so that they sagged low, some frozen together. It provided a nice barrier from the wind that howled all around her. She almost felt cozy! All that was missing was- oh, hey!
Right on cue, the moment she thought she might like a little company a brown-pelted woman showed up by her humble little staked out spot. Wagging her tail amiably, Cael said, "C'mon in, it's a lot nicer in here than out there." In an effort to show she was truly a friend, Caelestis scooted to one side in the little spot she'd dug out, making room for the other yearling to settle in nearby and get out of the snow.
Turning to look back outside between the low-hanging branches. The snow was still thick, but it was starting to thin out so she could start to make out the shadowy outlines of the Sound's features. In a little while she might be able to see what it looked like in full, and maybe go take a look up close!

The yearling smiled gently, as the other girl made room for her. She sat next to the girl, she sighed contently. This was nice, the cold and bitter air wasn't getting to her here. She looked back at the girl, "Thank you, I'm Pumpkin who might you be?" she cooed, taking in the yearlings, appearance. She had two different colored eyes, a forest green, and a pink. Her pelt had colors of browns, and white. Wow, she was an angel. She would die to be her friend, but not cause of her looks. But also her sweet personality, she couldn't help but think she was wild too.
She wagged her tail tilting her head to her right slightly, "You very pretty you know, and compared to me your a giant." she cooed, it was all so true. She was like three feet taller than herself, she wouldn't be surprised if she was even taller than that. She didn't really know a lot about making a conversation or being in one, but she could try. "Are you inside any pack?" she asked softly.
