It was so strange, so odd, but so beautiful at the same time! The large male stared down at the rocks before his feet. In awe at the looks of them and completely curious as to what they were. He had never seen anything like this before and it needed some proper time to admire it. He was at another beach in the South, but this one he had never cared me across before. The shore was littered with these shiny black rocks of all sizes, even as small as grains of sand. It was a sight to behold and something he wouldn’t mind taking back home as a gift to his beautiful mate. But he almost didn’t want to disturb such a masterpiece, the way it made the sand dark and black in color, the way it looked with the sun shining on it.

He took a breath and shook his head before moving forward curious about this beach. Was there more interesting things to see? More treasures to check out? It almost made him feel like a young pup again and finding what he considered a treasure. He needed to see more and he would as he trotted along the shore, checking out anything he came across.

Star was going to take it easy at home today, but that quickly grew boring and she just had to do something. Since her kidnap, torture, and return home, Stardust hadn't wanted to leave the safety of the pack boundaries for any reason. Hunting herbs within the territory was easy enough, patrolling borders could only alleviate so much of the heavy feeling in her heart and soul. It took her longer than she cared to admit, but something of a depression had settled in her chest. Anxiety ate at her, and while she had talked at length with Frost and Hailey, she still felt she had work to do in order to get herself back to normal. And that would only start with a trip into the outdoor woods.

With this in mind, Star decided to track down her mate. He had gone out well before she even thought about waking up, as was often the case when the sun rose, so she knew his scent would be fresh and easy to follow. Moving south with her nose following the deep spicy scent of Frostbite, Stardust trotted along as she tracked him. Her eyes would dart around every so often, to ensure no one would surprise her. Being cautious, there wouldn't be a possibility of a surprise attack, in case the dark witch wanted to capture her again. Maybe she was being paranoid.

It didn't take long for Frost's scent to strengthen, and Star waved her tan and sandy tail as she sped herself up to catch up. With a bark that said she was surprised and proud of herself, Star made her way toward Obsidian Beach. Surprise crossed her face when she came up on the edge of a small cliff looking over a dark beach. Shining in the sun and sparkling with a ton of darker hued colors and black. It looked amazing! She leaped from the overhanging wall and huffed as she landed, freezing on the spot as she stares at some of the larger rocks. Sun hit the black stones enough to show deep reds, purples and greens, there were a few navy colored and some were true black. She smiled and looked further down the beach, where she could just make out the multi-hued figure of Frost moving down the shining shoreline.

She was in motion immediately and ran to him, giving a happy bark as she was a few yards away to alert him that she had followed him. "My love, I have done the bravest thing ever, and I should get a reward!" her voice was excited and happy, overjoyed and proud. Waving her tail she came to him and rubbed her forehead against his chin, then fall in step with his walking. What would they be doing today?

He wasn’t aware that he had been fallowed or that Star had felt ready to venture out of the packlands. If he had known that’s what she had done he would have back tracked and stayed by her side protectively. He was afraid someone would steal her from him again and he didn’t feel his heart could take it again. First he had heard her bark and his drew his head up in both surprise and concern. Was there something wrong? Looking to her and seeing the excitement written all over her he relaxed. His tail began to wag as he turned to face her. Her words made a smile spread on his face and he allowed her to rub her head on his chin as he nibbled on her ear. As he fell in step with him he walked beside her, looking to her with a smile still.

“I’m so glad you were able to venture out and that you were so brave,” he said bumping his head gently into her neck. “You always have the best reward in the world and that is me.”

He chuckled at his own joke his tail still wagging as they walked the beach together. His mood was instantly brightened with her presence and he felt like right now there was nothing else in the world but the two of them and this beach. He couldn’t think of anything better right now.

She grinned at his gentle bump against her, her tail waving gaily behind her as she felt pride rising for herself at his praise. "Indeed, this is always the best trophy ever! I wanted to get out, but I had to do it on my own, and the best way to do that was to dangle the proverbial carrot in front of my face. In this case, my carrot is you." She licked his cheek and looked around, noting the multi-colored darkness of the sand. "It's so pretty here! How did you manage to find it? I followed your scent here, so, that's how I found it." She giggled again, feeling much more like herself.

She had put on a good amount of weight, and she could feel her body catching up to the healing of the rest of her. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling of slight anxiety, knowing there were wolves out there who could cleave her from her home in a flash was unnerving. Stardust always found strength in the one wolf who had always been there for her through everything. He was her best friend, the keeper of her secrets, the other half of her soul and she was glad that she had finally found her way back to him. Now, she was wiser and had more of a wary approach to strangers than she had before.

He chuckled as she explained the best way to get out of the packlands again glad to know that he was her proverbial carrot. He wouldn’t want it any other way and this time apart certainly reassured him that she would be the one and only wolf for him. There would never be any doubt that the choice they made to become mates was the right one, if only they could have held some celebration like his family would have at home. Love and becoming a family was a major thing, to be celebrated and cherished. His eyes looked to her after she licked his cheek, watching as she looked over the strang sand around them. She was looking so much better now that she was healing and putting weight back on and it was a major relief to him. Her words pulled him from staring at her face (still so relieved to have her home again) to look at the beach around them.

“Well really I just kinda stumbled across it, I hadn’t been here before today and didn’t even know it existed,” he stated.

He wasn’t even sure if this sand was safe enough to be walking on, although his paws weren’t burning or anything so he supposed that the sand was safe.

“It’s funny before you arrived I was actually considering finding the most prettiest rock to take home for you,” he said with a smile as he looked to her again.

Even though she was happy to be by his side, there would always be a little anxiety about being exposed and out of the pack lands. Still, she knew he would protect her and she would never be alone when she left home. Listening to Frost as he spoke, Star smiled and dipped her head in a wolfish blush. "You don't have to bring me presents, love. I need you...but, if you wanted to, I would say one with a dark green cast to it. They are the prettiest, to me."  When he looked back to her, she gave him a bright smile and a sweet kiss to his cheek. She felt good today, much happier and healthier than she had before. Maybe she was getting more back to normal than usual!

Her words made him chuckle, his eyes bright with amusement. He was still going to find her one, but right now he wanted to focus on her. They were alone and far away from other pack members. They had much more room then they would in their den. Plus they both had never been here before so it was a new thing entirely. They had a long while before the sun would set so they would have to fill that time. He reached over and gently nibbled her ear before walking further by her side, down the shore at a relaxing pace. His world was whole again with her here and for now all his worries and his other thoughts melted away.

His eyes looked over to her and he smiled again wanting nothing more then to just cuddle up to her and pamper her the rest of the day. Wanting nothing more to continuously take in the scent of her as he nibbled at her fur.

"How'd I get so lucky," he said in a more quieter tone before pressing his nose to her neck again.

Star couldn't imagine a more perfect moment than this one right here. Being on this beautiful beach with the wind in their fur and the smell of salt air on the breeze gave her a new strength, the sand between her toes felt amazing and encouraged her to relax further. Having Frost with her, receiving his full attention and loving affection made her more at ease, knowing she was protected even when she distracted him so much. She didn't think about the dark woman and her wicked potions, nor her endless days of captivity. Instead, she could focus on the here and now, Frost's gentle attentions keeping her in the present and allowing her to focus on just them. It was the most wonderful blessing to her, that she wasn't anxious or worried, she didn't have to be afraid.

Star leaned into Frost's touch and made a purr-like sound at the refreshing contact, another smile etching itself onto her lips as he nibbled his way from her ear to her neck. She was unaware that there was a world around them, her senses tuned themselves to taking in everything that was Frost. As he pressed his nose against her neck, she shivered delightedly and turned her head just slightly so she could nibble and lick at the fur of his chest. One tan ear slid back on her head as he spoke, her smile widening as she waved her tail in response. "I was wondering the same thing, my love." Star spoke softly against the fur of his chest, curling her frame around Frost's in a wolfish hug. As he continued his affections, Stardust continued to follow his lead and return them, a smile never far off her face as she inhaled deeply and gently dragged her teeth through his fur.

Oh, how she loved this male. She would show him today just how much she loved him too. Star could feel the change within her, and she wondered if Frost could feel it too.

There was a change, he could sense it and it was dragging him him. He was on her hook and being reeled in every second. He smiled as she began to return the little affections, his skin twitching with the sensation she was leaving behind. They were alone, his ears still alert to thier surroundings no matter how much he wanted the world to just fade away. Stardust was his everything and he just wanted to get lost with her and only focus on her. He was craving my her touch, craving her closeness, and his heartbeat began to drum against his chest.

A light growl came from him as she gently dragged her teeth through his fur. He nibbles his way down her neck and along her spine giving her a few light nips here and there. This attention from her is what he craved and as they both fell deeper into each other’s actions he could feel that this would be the day they truly showed each other how much they loved one another. His fur prickled in sensation as he worked his way back up to between her shoulder blades.

He loved her way to much.

His every touch made her skin tingle, her fur prickling up as chills spread beneath the cream and tan of her fur. Her awareness of him was heightened as he moved over her and she found herself falling even more in love with him at his gentleness and care. It was a beautiful way to show their love, she lost herself in their dance, responding in ways she only ever would with her Frostbite.

With her mind fully blown and a smile firmly planted on her face, Stardust lay in the dark sand of the beach and giggled. "I love you, Frost." She said and licked at his face, leaning up on her shoulder to do so. Star knew she was extremely lucky to have a mate as caring as hers, her tail waved behind her to thump on the ground. "We should get home after we rest a bit...would it be bad to say I want to stay here forever?" She laughed softly, shaking her head. There was no way she would be selfish enough to leave Lirim, unless Frost asked it of her. She wouldn't dare suggest it though. But Star knew she would do anything for her mate, even fight death to come back to him.
