Spring was here, and Ares had never seen anything like it! Everything was so green! Plants were blooming everywhere, rabbits seemed abundant, and the best part of Spring? He finally turned a year old! Tail wagged, the gangly male bounding across the field. He could go anywhere he wanted now, do whatever he wanted now, without his dad chasing him around and herding him back! His fangs had grown, hell, he had grown! He had grown quite tall, but his bulk had yet to completely fill in. Meh, it didn't bother him. He would fill out eventually, but for now, he was just excited that he could actually go and do whatever the hell he wanted!
But what to do with this new found freedom? "Hmmm..." He came to a stop near an old rusty tractor, head turning slowly as he gazed around him. There was a big flock of chickens nearby, why not mess with them for the time being? Maw split in a wide grin, and immediately he shot off in their direction. He barked as he barrelled among them, snapping his teeth as he not so playfully forced them to scatter and wing it in panic. Oh this was fun! But he was sure there were funner things out there.

What was this place? The odd structures that she spotted in the distance were unlike anything she had witnessed before. Blue eyes traced each line and shape of them as she began her approach. Another day slipped away from the safety of her father. Though this time they had a place to meet back at. A den to call their own. Careful paws pick a path toward the first thing she had spotted. Its wheel dry-rotted and cracked, not that she knew anything about that. However she is unable to actually reach the destination as distraction came in the form of another. Skull turned to the side to watch as the male began to create so much noise as he chased the flocked birds.
Thisbee was not as careless. Her own body hunkered down close to the ground to try and not be obviously spotted. Ears pressed back as she scanned the scene. Would the monsters come? Surely they would hear him. The danger that Sparrow spoke of. Bee had only dreamed to escape it when she was forced to split up from her father while the bad came for them. Now, it seemed to lurk in these lands too.

He was having so much fun chasing these chickens! Once he had gotten them all scattered and running in every direction, he came to a halt and turned every which way. Now he didn't know which chicken he wanted to go after! Chest heaved from the effort of running and his tongue hung from his mouth as he panted heavily. Gaze swept the landscape as he tried to figure out his next target, but then something else caught his eye. Ears perked, head canted to the side as he stared. Who was that!? Not far from where he stood, a non-chicken figure was watching him. Curiosity drew him in, so he would begin to boldly walk in that direction.
The yearling approached the pup without caution, long lanky legs practically high-stepping as he bounded forward. His tail wagged, a glint of mischief in his eye. He hadn't been around strangers much, but he wasn't afraid. What could a pup do to him anyway besides nibble on his toes? "Hey you there! What're you lookin' at?' He inquired, fangs dripping a bit of drool as he spoke.
