Muddy Mess

Muddy, it was muddy here. He knew the quick melting snow had made plenty of muddy spots, but this place was bad. He hadn’t even gotten to far into the territory before his paws and lower legs were coated in mud. He would have to wash off before he headed home. Moving further into the gulley he looked around for tracks and for any signs of life. It didn’t matter if it was another wolf or some type of prey. As long as it wasn’t another predator he was fine. Lots of tracks were riddled in the muddy mess. He wasn’t looked no for anything particular but to get familiar with the area.
He picked up the pace and kept moving through the mess trying desperately to not wear himself out while trudging through the mud. After a while he stopped to have a look around looking for any movement within the Gully.
