I Thought I Wasn't Ready

It had all happened not too long ago, and it had taken him some time to accept the fact he had mini-me's, but the more he was around them, the more he came to love them. He had always wanted pups, and although he didn't get to be there in the early parts of their life, he would make sure to be there for them since the day they came to him. The only difficult part of it all? Keeping an eye on them. Luckily for him, his companions helped him out a great deal, and while he knew he could ask his family for help, he was hesitant on introducing the two kids to the rest of the family. What would they think? They'd call me stupid for being so careless, that's what... He sighed, but soon dismissed the thought. He was nervous, yes. Sure the two almost yearlings hadn't been with him long, but he loved them already and felt extremely protective towards them.
He slipped out of his den, leaving the two siblings to sleep a bit longer while he went to his favorite spot in the clearing. He listened for any other movement, wondering if others were stirring around the main den site, but so far all seemed quiet. He could hear the soft padding of Shiva's paws walking across the ground, though there was no sign of Kimahri. Breathing in the morning air, he sat in the middle of the clearing and started to think about the future. |
Dragon never goes anywhere without his Dragon armor, assume he is always wearing it unless otherwise mentioned! He also has a pair of seeing eye jaguars, assume they're always present unless otherwise mentioned.

Faine had recently found herself slowly adjusting to a slightly new lifestyle. She had found Dragon after being alone for some time, and now there were more wolves to be around. She had found herself a den to rest in and she was wondering when or how Dragon planned on making a new home. Though she was fine with just being a small group in the pines, she was merely curious. Slowly her eyes opened as she awoke from sleep, a yawn escaping her lips as she would get up and stretch. Shaking out her dark pelt, she would slip from her den and her carmine gaze scanned the clearing. So far, it still seemed to be quiet, but Dragon seemed to be awake and sitting in the middle of the open space. Her tail flicked slightly as she moved to go greet the brute. One of his companions was beside him now, and she offered a calm smile to the leopard. “Good morning, Dragon,” she said, her voice just slightly groggy from just waking up. She would glance around once again, wondering if perhaps she should keep her voice low if others were still sleeping. She didn’t want to bother any of his family the first few days she was here, “I must say that I do like it up here, in the North,” she told him softly. For some reason, it just felt a little more secure here than in Auster. Perhaps it was just the wooded area as well though. Walk, "Talk" Think |
