She had been following an empty trail for days now, weeks, even. Time seemed to be meaningless to her, with no purpose in her life until she found them again. Her sisters, the muses. She was certain that she was close, she could taste it on the air. She knew that one of them was here in these lands. Kleio. The fox colored woman was certainly near, and Melpomene would not be leaving until she was reunited with her. She would not be on her own any longer, and together, the two women would find the rest of their family.
They held no genetic relations, but the group had forged a bond that ran deeper than blood. They had sworn an oath to each other, weather they had spoken words aloud or not, it was not something that needed to be spoken. It was instinctual for them, for Mel it was, at least. It was deeply rooted need to be with them once more, though one wouldn’t guess the desperation she felt from the neutral expression that rested on her face. The scent grew stronger, and the woman's pace increased. “Klieo?” Her voice called out, hoping that her senses weren’t failing her, and that the other woman would soon materialize.
