Going Swimmin'

Kasdeya had left Auster for a second time, intent on learning more about the lands than she had initially. The first time around, she had found interesting sights and herbs, so she had taken her time to study the plants and using them to concoct various poisons and remedies to see what might be worth bringing back home. Just before Malleus had called his meeting, she had managed to store what she could bring back in her den then promptly headed to the meeting. A couple days after it was over, she had returned to Boreas to finish her work. She decided, however, that since the pack was moving and there was much to be done, she would get down to the business she originally intended and deal with herbs later. Or maybe...maybe she could even collect some rare ones on the way and trade them with those she came across. That was always a good way to start gathering intel, she thought.
With the summer sun baking the earth, she found herself wading in the shallows of the lake to keep cool. She was on the eastern side of the water, and she debated whether or not going to the island in the center of the lake was a good idea. Sure she was a strong swimmer, but would she find anything valuable there? It was always worth a thought.
