Quote:Hey guys! Recently it?s come to our attention that there are some alphas and some judges who are using their permissions for things they really aren?t supposed to. In light of this, we are making this update to outline what an alpha is supposed to do, and what a judge is supposed to do. As a warning, those caught doing things they are not supposed to do run a risk of losing access to their given permissions. We can check and see what you're doing with your abilities, so please do not abuse them! If you have any questions about what you can and cannot do with your account privileges, please contact a member of staff and ask!
PERMISSIONS OF JUDGES
A judge has permissions to use the Judge account to post up results of fights. To do this sometimes they may need to unarchive a thread in order to post a result in it, which is acceptable. A judge also has permission to use the Judge account to edit judging requests posts, and delete judging request posts once they are completed. Outside of this, a judge may not use the account to complete/delete gemstore requests (which are not supposed to be deleted anyways), maintenance posts, etc.
PERMISSIONS OF ALPHASAlphas may only use their alpha permissions to complete responsibilities that pertain to their own pack. This includes using the moderator control panel to list members into your pack (ask a staff member how to do this if you are uncertain). You can also list and adjust ranks within your pack; just keep in mind you are only allowed three individuals in tier 1 (an alpha, secondary, and heir), and three in tier 2 (a lead beta and two normal betas). You are also allowed to archive dead threads within your land. If a thread has not been replied to within a month, then you can move this thread to the in character archives forum. Again, if you do not know how to archive a thread feel free to ask a member of staff how to! You are also free to edit your own pack pages to update it, and you may update the pack updates page for your own pack. Similar to judges, you may not use your alpha permissions to do maintenance requests, etc. If you see a maintenance request for something that pertains to ranks in your pack (i.e. a character requesting to be sorted to have your packs title) you may complete that, but you may not delete the request. Instead, edit it to signal completion so that the staff know that you have only done things that pertain to your pack. You also may not edit alpha activity checks for any reason; this is for members of staff alone to edit and fix.
