Gathering away

She was running out of time to complete her herb collecting before winter, and was determined to finish her collecting list as quickly as possible, so she could worry about storing, drying, and mixing the herbs to preserve them over the colder season. Alfalfa was a favourite herb to have over winter, with its weight gaining properties it was good for wolves that might have gotten caught out in a storm and gone hungry for days. It was also good for Arthritis, and an old wolf always felt their bones worse in the winter. It was a must have, and now that she had joined a pack she wasn’t certain her supply was going to be enough.

She was exploring the territories near the pack at the same time, and made her way to the Souless Forest. She mossy undergrowth seemed promising for plant life, and she began nosing her way through it in no time. The plant she was after was common, so even as life waned in the Autumn season, she had hope that she would find the plant she searched for.
