Abaven, as large as it was, made finding neutral ground difficult, but today it was of the upmost importance that he did. Raane wove silently at his heels, her black tongue flickering purposefully as they made their way over the cliffs. With a soft croak Moses landed on his back, the large bird’s feathers still ruffled and his milky eye pointed at the road ahead of them. “You’re sure it was him? A large white male with black and gray markings?” Tyranis asked. “Yes and the red pup.” Moses spoke in a hushed whisper. Tyranis glared at the thicket and plains that held Abaven, the sea crashing tremulously behind him. Slowly he lifted his head back and called for Acere, fully intending to get an explanation for his uncle’s abandonment.   Speech, Thought, Moses You

He'd been in Abaven lands tending to the needs of the two new charges he had found in the Maw. The Fox cubs were growing healthier and stronger by the day, and the pair of them were progressing quite rapidly. When he heard a familiar howl, however, he turned in that direction. He was unsurprised that his nephew was seeking him out. He was, after all, an incredibly headstrong and stubborn boy. Much like Elias in many ways...Crimson gaze glared in the direction of the howl for a moment before he turned and finished tending to the kits. Once he was done, he left them napping int he den and informed Ignis to keep an eye on them should they wake up before he got back. With that, he headed out towards the cliffs where Tyranis waited. The titan steeled himself. Crimson gaze bore no emotion as he climbed upward. He took several guesses as to why Tyranis was calling for him, and he didn't have to think hard about the possibilities. Whatever the case, he didn't hurry to get there, but took his time instead. And when he finally did see Tyranis with his two companions, Ace stopped a few yards away. "So, you finally show yourself. Thought perhaps you ran off with your father. What do you want, boy?" Though Tyranis had been his alpha once, Ace didn't care. He no longer had power over him, and neither did Elias. He stood at his full height, gaze steady as he watched his nephew. "Speak"

His uncle’s indignation struck him and all at once his hackles raised and his lip twisted into a snarl. “How dare you?!” He hissed, every bit as venomous at the hooded companion below him.“Where were you when I called for those remaining in Ruina? Hiding like a rat, like a coward no doubt!” He barked furiously, his eyes narrowed dangerously as the serpent began to flick her tongue with interest and his bird took wing to circle them. “You and and my father’s whore and all his little bastards! All of you abandoned me! Abandoned Ruina! I bet you couldn’t have run from the maw any faster than if you were chased you old bastard!” Tyranis snapped and roared then began to circle the larger male with determined and purposeful steps, stalking around him like a cat prepared to make a kill. Acere was larger than him but he was faster and very cunning. Acere had beaten him once in a spar when he was much younger and their relationship to each other still a mystery, but the older male had awakened his fury with his greeting and now Tyranis wanted blood. Ty's accusations drew a snarl from Ace, his own hackles rising as he stood threateningly over his smaller nephew. "While you and the rest of Ruina abandoned the mountains, I was taking care of your two siblings that your bastard father abandoned! He hissed with anger. He dismissed Ty's words, practically laughing at his nephew. So, he wanted to try and label him as a traitor, hm? Typical. He never put it past this particular nephew to try and fit pants that were much too big for him. He watched Ty try to circle him, so Ace began his own circling. The pair were just walking circles now, Ace's anger clear on his form at his nephew's belligerence.

"I wasn't the one who abandoned Ruina. Your pathetic excuse for a father did. Everyone was gone when I came back, except for Actaea who had been left for dead! Your father left her to the coyotes, and yet you dare blame me and call me the traitor!?" He snapped, teeth slamming together with a loud click. "You're blind, boy. If anyone is a traitor, it's Elias." He knew Ty wouldn't listen, however. Knowing that Ty practically put Elias on a golden pedestal. Ace didn't care for his brother anymore, and only wanted to make him pay for abandoning everything.

He very nearly lunged for Ace in that moment, bloodlust rippling through his limbs as his muscles tightened to spring him forward at the larger male. The screams however stopped him, and the king lifted his head abruptly, turning his head toward the source of the noise. Mt. Vulcan. “Tyranis!” The raven called overhead to grab the darker wolf’s attention, then circled low before gliding off toward the flaming mountain. Something was wrong. A thin tendril of foreboding uncoiled like a frayed thread in his stomach as the familiarity of the scream struck him. It was something eerily familiar yet something he couldn’t place exactly and his instincts screamed the name ‘Actea’. The cobra coiled itself loosely around his neck and the male, seeming to have forgotten his uncle entirely left without another word, following his half blind companion. There was something larger at play than their petty squabbling and Tyranis intended to find out what it was. -Exit Tyranis- Speech, Thought, Moses You

He stood ready to take on his nephew, his own teeth bared and legs coiling beneath him ready to spring the moment Ty did. While he didn't want to fight his nephew because of Elias' mistakes, he wasn't just going to stand there and let the boy blame him for something that wasn't true. Crimson gaze stared threateningly at Ty, waiting for him to make the first move. Before anything more could happen, however, a scream rang through the air causing both wolves to look up and towards the same direction. In that moment, all of Ace's anger towards Tyranis had instantly gone away. And when Ty's raven called down and flew in the direction of the the volcano, Ace's heart dropped. That scream sounded vaguely familiar, and in that moment his mind went to his niece and nephew. Had Ignis and Actaea tried to go there alone while he was gone? Eyes widened at the thought, and just like Ty he abandoned their argument and went racing down the cliffs and straight towards the mountain. -Exit- "Speak"
