The rainy season was proving to be one of her least favorites. Sure, it was nice to have the extra herbs sprouting up in the soggy ground, but damn was everything just drenched some days. Seiran, for one, could really do without the uninvited showers and rising flood waters. Even as she wove her way through the massive trees she decided it looked more like a bog than a forest. Bleh.
It was also raining today, which had her feeling a little dreary and a little cranky. Tip toeing on the driest patches of ground and leaping over puddles, the girl found her path becoming a little aimless as she was repeatedly thrown off course by large swathes of water she wasn't keen on trying to cross. Rumor had it that there were more crocodiles inland from the floodwaters, and she wasn't terribly interested in seeing for herself what those were like up close. There was also the fact she refused to fully admit to; the water made her deeply uncomfortable. Nervous even. It brought back bad memories.
Closing her baby blue eyes for a moment, she sighed and tried to relax despite finding herself at another dead end and having to turn back in search of alternate routes through the water-logged woods. Carefully balancing on some of the exposed roots of one massive tree, she wandered without a destination in mind. Her original purpose in coming here was long forgotten.
