**Set before "The Thread"**

Many things had been on his mind for a while now. Namely the conversations he had with Ignis and Actaea. Though they were young, they were incredibly wise for their age. He gained a lot of insight from them, and he couldn't believe how much he had been able to learn from them. Funny how things worked out that way...as old as he was compared to them, even he was still learning. With tidbits of their conversations in mind, Acere headed North to begin his search. His fox companions followed along at his side, excited to see the North lands for the first time. It was snowing today, but lightly. Not much of a bother to the alabaster male or his companions, but if a blizzard decided to spring up, well...that was another matter entirely. They carefully picked their way past the frozen bog that stretched across the area, the male not wanting to go for an icy dip today. That would displease him and put a damper on his quest because then he would have to go back to Abaven. He didn't like having to do things twice, no. He preferred to get things done the first time around, and that was what he aimed to do today.

Luckily, they made it to the wall without incident. It was a structure he had passed through twice before, both on the way to the north and when he was going back home. Being back in the north reminded him about the time he fought a tiger with a few others, the memory bringing back vivid flashes of the fight. In the end, he had returned home with his prize. And he had yet to finish tinkering with it. He figured he'd be done with it soon enough, and he wasn't in any particular rush to do so. He walked forward with confidence, briefly wondering if he'd find any other skins while he was up here. As the male nosed around the wall, he secretly hoped to find lost trinkets that he could perhaps use later. Meanwhile, Finn ended up on top of the wall, walking precariously along the edge while his sister giggled at him.
