With the main tournament over and the Champion Wolf Lord crowned... well, figuratively... it was time for the secondary tournament he knew many of the wolves were looking forward to with vindictive glee. Who wouldn't want to watch a bunch of wolves ripping pieces off one another for a prize? He'd reserved these fights for himself to referee, not caring to entrust it to any of his "cousins", and now it was time for the first round to commence. "Please step into the ring," he asked stentoriously, gesturing to Carthage and Eldi. "Do not step from the ring or be disqualified. Remember, this is not a simple battle - when you lose, your opponent will leave a permanent physical reminder of your loss." His teeth showed in a very wide... too wide... grin. "You, please begin." He nodded towards Eldi and stepped back a few steps from the ring. He didn't want to be squashed if one of them was thrown from the circle, after all.

Éldi was anxious to begin. He'd opted to skip the main divisions in the hope of studying some other fighters. This was an excellent opportunity to observe the combat styles and skills of the locals and he didn't want to miss anything. Especially with Valkyrie competing, she'd need an extra set of eyes for intel. However, Éldi wasn't going to sit out entirely. When the main divisions had finished then it was time for the hardcore fights. He grinned, tongue running along his ivory fangs. He couldn't wait! Askr flew above him.  Soon Nitro called him to the ring and he faced a man who was a bit shorter than him but just as heavily built. He listened to the rules, nodded absently when they finished then grinned when he was given the first move.

He set his defenses took a deep breath and exhaled all the distractions as he focused intently on his opponent. Valkyrie was likely watching. He wanted to do her proud. Éldi's powerful limbs uncoiled as he rocketed toward Carthage. He sought to dodge slightly to his right to line up the front of his left shoulder with the crease between Carthage's right shoulder and chest. He wanted to hit with enough force to sprain the mans shoulder or even dislocate it. At the same time he threw his chest forward, seeking to crash it into his opponents chest.

Éldi's head would rotate sharply, his jaws flung wide as he tried to seize hold of the man's left ear. He wanted to bring his jaws together in a brutal snap over the delicate appendage and crop it from his opponents head.

Carthage was so ready to rip into this other male. He was younger, but not by much. A formidable opponent in his eyes, but he wasn't going to let him win, not if he had anything to do with it. While the opponent readied himself in the center of the ring, Carthage waited impatiently. Although he doubted he needed it after the earlier spars, he loosened his shoulders by rolling them around a bit and repositioned his legs for better balance. Carthage was cocky, and it showed while the male barreled towards him, slightly towards his left side. Carrie grinned and was quick to move and dodge the tackle, but he hadn't been quick enough to dodge his ear getting caught by the other male. Carrie winced and jerked his head, caring little about the blood he felt filling his ear canal and deafening him on that side from the fluid.

Suddenly beyond angry from the pain, Carnage swung his head around to the males side and snapped wildly at his right shoulder and neck region, aiming mostly for his shoulder in hopes to make purchase with the tough flesh there and cause some scarring, resulting in a limp from torn muscle. While his opponent seemed to be going for more superficial injuries, tearing an ear from his head and hoping it'd phase him, Carnage was going for a more lasting injury. He wanted to leave a mark, a constant reminder that he was the one that made his life harder.

Carnage was here to make enemies, not to fraternize with the other packs and coymutts.

Carthage dodged out of the way of Éldi's chest and shoulder but the viking's fangs still found their way to the man's ear, shredding through it. Blood stained his mouth and spattered into the air. He didn't have time to savor his successful attack as Carthage unleashed an assault upon Éldi's right shoulder, the fangs shredding his upper arm just below the deltoid. The pain was intense but he took and used it fuel his retaliation. He twisted away from the other mans jaws, neck arcing as his head rotated, questing for Carthage's right ear.  Again he hoped to trap the little appendage between his jaws and rip it from the man's head. He wanted the blood good and flowing. Something about it just made the fight intoxicating.

While he worked for Carthage's ear his companion, Askr, suddenly dove from the sky, talons extended as the raven aimed to crash its talon's into Carthage's eyes.
