The female had been content with the fact that Daemon was home with her. Nova found her confidence growing since then, her mind a constant working force. She couldn’t help but wonder why the Gods still refused to give them a litter… and part of her feared infertility on her part. Surely that couldn’t be the case? She knew her parents had, in some ways, damned her… but surely her genetics had not failed her in that way? It had her worried… but Nova would not give up. She’d be a good wife for her husband, one way or another.

Currently she was on the search for spring herbs that she could store that might help her should she actually fall pregnant. The female wanted to do something with her life… something more than she had been doing. Currently she was convinced that was becoming a mother…

The pale woman’s red gaze swept the landscape around her and she took in a breath of fresh air. Things would change, she felt certain. Someday things would start to ease into a better routine… and then, perhaps then, she would feel like she was useful. Like she was worth something to her mate. Until that day came she would just keep trying and living.

Her tail wagged behind her as Nova lowered her head to the ground and sniffed at a plant at her paws. She didn’t know too much about herblore but she was learning. It was part of her duties after all!

“Maybe this one…” Nova mused to herself. It seemed to be a healthy plant at the very least. She leaned in close and carefully clipped the stem with her teeth, unaware that a pair of eyes were upon her.

He made his way to Boreas. The hellhound seeking better entertainment then what Auster had to offer. The Abraxas pack was the only one that resided in Auster, and Azazel was sure most had heard of them and the reputation they had because it seemed near impossible to find anyone other than an Abraxas on that side of the bridge. There were a couple of others not of the Abraxas blood in the pack, but he dared not stir up too much trouble within the Empire. Despite his lack of care towards those particular members, he knew stirring up too much trouble with them would get attention, so he set out to perhaps find something else nobody would care too much about.

Or someone else for that matter. He had caught a vaguely familiar scent in the area, and when he tracked it, that scent grew more familiar. He soon set eyes upon the unmistakeable form of his littermate, crimson gaze narrowing as he watched her forage around. He stalked her. Watched her. Much the same way as a predator stalking its prey. She was larger than him, yes. But he was surely stronger than her. He supposed it didn't matter who was stronger at this point...what mattered was getting her. Their mother had abandoned them. Driven mad by whatever poisoned her mind and in turn, causing her to abandon the boy. Leaving them in a pack that didn't care about them. Leaving them to their own devices. He had been frustrated and pissed off since. Perhaps this would be the day he could vent out those frustrations...seek revenge for what his mother had done. Nova was the closest to that he could get, he was sure. She had a heart...unlike him.

Stepping out of his hiding place, he strolled up to her, that Cheshire grin of his plastered to his face as his gaze bore into her form. "Nova...so good to see you again, my dear." He purred. Though it wasn't in a way that indicated he was overly joyed to see her. He stopped a couple of yards from her, deciding to play the part in an effort to carry out the malicious plan that already started to form in his mind like dark thunder clouds...
