The painfully-thin coydog's eyes seem huge in his sharp-angled face as he steps through the crowd, but it is clearly not out of fear. His pupils are huge, nearly engulfing the orange of his irises, and he stares at the remaining fighters with the sort of intense scrutiny that tends to make people uncomfortable. With his black coat and barely-visible gray brindling he looks like the sort of goth kid you can be pretty convinced is going to be a school shooter someday. He moves a little weirdly, too, kind of jerky and dinosaur-like. "You," he says, in a weirdly dramatic tone to Aurelia, and "You," in the same manner to Caelia, and turns like a lizard chasing a cricket and leads them over to a ring of stones set into the ground. "I wouldn't step out of the ring if I were you," he tells them with an intense sort of tone, like he was warning them that they would die if they did, which was clearly ridiculous. "I will decide your fate when the battle draws to a close. You," he said, twisting his head weirdly aside to look toward Caelia, "Begin."

Wait.. she was being paired against another pup? Seriously? Her eyes narrowed as she regarded the coydog, wondering what the hell his reasoning was, before her attention snapped to Aurelia. Wasn't this the girl Artur had lost against? Not that she blamed him; her own fight hadn't gone much better. She narrowed her eyes skeptically as she moved into the ring. It wasn't like she was a newborn child, but.. she was uncomfortably young and still awkward and gangly as all pups were, and Caelia felt like a mature woman compared to her. Tilting her nose at the sky in an obviously dignified gesture, she huffed and moved closer. Without spending much time sizing her up, Caelia acted. She was bigger than Aurelia and presumably stronger, so hopefully she could use that to her advantage. She charged straight toward her, ears pinned back against her skull and a low snarl beginning to build in her chest. Once she reached her she parted her jaws and ducked to her own left (Aurelia's right) and made to bring her jaws around her shoulder, where Aurelia's right forelimb met the socket, putting all her force into the bite.
