Theta laid on her back in the grass filled with boredom. Watching as the clouds rolled by, slow as ever. She had been bored with not much respite. Home was getting closer but it was still so far away. She needed something to fill these endless hours with, fun wasn’t something she’d had in a while. Only boredom, anger, and frustration. Those weren’t emotions she particularly enjoyed but she seemed to experience them a lot.

Thinking on her current lack of emotions didn’t help the time pass any quicker. Rolling over to get to a standing position she shook off the grass that stuck to her and stared at the ground. Maybe something interesting would come of that.

He couldn't say he was happy. But...he also couldn't say he was sad, either. He still wasn't entirely sure about the reason why they had to leave their home pack and their father. Weren't he and mom in love? They were too young to understand all that stuff, and he didn't bother asking because he felt like the adults would just lie about it all. He huffed as he walked in these still unfamiliar lands. He missed the comfort of his own den. The familiar smell of home. The only thing he didn't miss were those other brats that tried to claim they were equal. Ha! As if! He was the alpha's son. He was 'The Wing in the Darkness.' He wasn't entirely sure what that meant yet, but he would in time.

Engrossed in his thoughts, he nearly stumbled too close to his sister. Magenta eyes rose to find her staring at the ground. He flicked his tail as he thought about turning around and going his own way, but he didn't. "What are you doing?" His voice wasn't kind, but it also wasn't...unwelcoming. He wasn't the best at showing his emotions, but neither was she...nor the rest of his siblings assuming they felt the same in this situation.

Thetas' hopes for something to happen were soon answered with the appearance of her brother. He asked what she was doing in that way of his where she didn't know whether he was being rude or just didn't know how to interact with people. She didn't find his question worthy of much response. He could she what she was doing, why did he need to ask?

The thought that caught Thetas' mind was the one that she didn't really know much about what her siblings thought about their current situation. Maybe now was a good time to start figuring that out.

looking up towards her brother she would vaguely answer his question if only as a segue to what she really wanted to talk about. "Thinking. Do you like being here?"

She ignored his question and instead decided to look at him before responding and asking him a question of her own. "Thinking. Do you like being here?" He didn't react much to her question. He could be a jerk and say that she should know what he thought already, but...he decided not to do that. It seemed like a genuine question that required a genuine answer. He walked closer to her, his own gaze finding the ground as he moved. "No." He said curtly. His gaze found hers as he sat down, ears flattening slightly against his head. "I miss dad. I miss our den. I miss being home."

He inhaled deeply before letting it out, the boy averting his gaze from her for a moment. "Do you like it here? It's kinda...I dunno...there's a lot of wolves here but...dad isn't here. He was supposed to teach me a buncha stuff, but..." He was missing out on learning. He hated it here, and he was certain he would say just that the next time someone asked him.
