Cloud was on a fishing frenzy after he'd been so successful a few days prior. Now, he wanted to see what else he'd be able to find and catch. Trout were all well and good, and river fishing had been an experience. But what about lake fishing? He traveled to a nearby lake with his companion, keeping pace with his Osprey's flight path as the bird led the way. Once there, Cloud's own path stopped at the bank while the raptor soared over the lake and began to circle. He was sure fishing the lake was quite different than fishing in the river, and as he watched his companion dive down and strike on a fish, Cloud decided to observe them for the moment. Sure, he could fish from the banks...but how successful (or unsuccessful) would that be? He decided to mull it over as he watched his companion fish, and he even went as far as to observe the other small predators and birds fish. After all, how could he learn without observation? He didn't get to be the hunter he was now by just blindly jumping into it without figuring it out and learning the ropes first. No, observation was definitely his friend.
