Aurielle Adravendi

She padded slowly across the flat grassland, gazing about thoughtfully as she considered. If the festival she had planned were between Valhalla, Lirim and Fyri alone, this place would be just about perfect. It was reasonably local to all three packs. However, it would be one long journey for packs like Kesali, and Abaven would probably be dead on their feet by the time they got here. Especially if pups were to attend.

She hummed under her breath and paused, roughly at the center of the land and breathing in deeply, letting the air out in a sigh as her haunches lowered to the ground. Perhaps she would hold another festival for Fyri and Lirim here later on. Perhaps next Summer, late in the season. Or maybe even in Autumn of this year—probably not a great idea, given her season. She could cover the scent with her scented oils, but her head was a headache to deal with.

Her eyes closed as she tried to envision the events that could be held here, a small smile flickering over her features as she saw puppy races, and adult ones, for the hunters and messengers, spars… hunting would be plentiful and challenging, with elk ranging through the land. Spring. She would hold one next spring.

She rose to her paws with a contented huff and stretched lithely, tail rising in a banner before she let it drop and padded slowly through the lush green grasses, eyes scanning the elk herd strolling along up ahead. Come to think of it, she might want to suggest to Laisren that they hold a mass hunt, possibly an inter-pack effort to bring more hunters in to assure a better kill. The meat and hides could be shared between each pack if they brought down enough animals come Autumn to store for winter.

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.

Lament was no healer, and well he stood stoic before the panther, her side deeply gashed, his shoulder leaking blood, he questioned what he would do once this was over. Their first clash had left him victorious, and the huntress was reluctant to tangle with him a second time. He didn’t flinch, eyes stern upon her as he waited for the moment, ah, there it was.

She broke free, turned, and ran back into the gorge. Her lithe movements hampered by the heavy thud of her pain with each step. He continued to watch until she was no more, and only then did he sway, cursing softly his misfortune to run across a creature of the jungle at the edges of the flatland.

Despite his frustrations, his face was carefully swept blank, and his paw occasionally fidgeted this way and that, as through it had a mind of its own. He turned himself then, placing his paw on the earth, a soft whisper of breath escaping him. Curses, but she had gotten him good.

He kept his limping to a minimum as he moved with intent in the opposite direction the panther had fled. He was certain, despite the unknowns, that he was no healer. Any herbs about him were unknown to him. Strange even, as through that which he had once known where vastly different. It was the little things like that that told him he was far from home.

He hunkered down in the tall grasses where he could sit mostly out of sight for the moment. He brushed a tongue across the wound, spitting blood as his paw gestured his frustrations. He stilled as he heard movement not far from his place of hiding, and would glance in that direction to see the white brush of fur like a banner rising above the coverage. He was not alone here. He straightened, facing her in a way that didn’t immediately display his wound. “Gentle Greetings, My Lady.” he murmured gently, his soft voice pitched just enough to reach her. He stood still, his words and his manner displaying himself as no threat to her, through there was a cautious coil in his powerful muscles.

A rustle in the grass some ways off behind her made her turn just in time to lock gazes with a young male, and in time to hear his greeting even as she met his eyes. He was cautious, she noted, but was clearly offering no threat, and she dipped her muzzle slightly in greeting, turning to fully face the male as gradated sapphire to sky blue eyes roves over him and took in the fiery colors painted over a canvas of black.

After Ignatius, she didn’t find too much shock in the man’s appearance, but interest lit in her eyes as she noted his canines, a brief smile twitching into her features. She was seeing more and more wolves that bore features similar to her own dental difference and yet, it was still nice to see that she wasn’t the only unusually toothed wolf out there. She hadn’t met anyone with a mane or tail quite like her own, though—although there had been a woman at the challenge for Erovrare that had borne a fascinatingly long tail herself. But it was like that of Ayodele’s; one long tailbone, rather than just having very long tail hairs.

Finally, she responded aloud, stepping closer to a comfortable distance for speaking, yet not intruding into the man’s space.

“Good day to you as well…” She trailed off as the wind turned enough to bring his scent to her and she caught wind of blood. Her eyes flicked over his form in a brief, efficient scan for the source as she asked, “I smell blood… do you need help?” This as her eyes landed on the wounded shoulder. It seemed she wasn’t the only wolf with a knack for pissing off large predators.

She’d grown up to lead, but she’d also grown up around Paladin, and initially her own mother. It was impossible not to pick up healing knowledge with such a surrounding as a pup, and she’d already been keen to learn the skills, as her father had always said they would be a boon throughout her life.

Her eyes left him, gazing around at the surrounding greenery for any plants that might be of use as a brief thoughtful hum sang in her throat.

As he stood wearily over the grass he would accidently meet the eyes of the other wolf, before disengaging from the social faux pas. His eyes moved to her paws, and seeing the long, horse like mane that covered the majority of his face. He stilled his paw before it could gesture his curiosity. He himself had a few anomalies, with his elongated fangs.

His shoulder burned, and he swayed a little, through he tried to hide it. He must have failed miserably, because the wolf picked up on his injuries immediately. He was reluctant to seek aid from the stranger, and moved to stand a little taller. The gesture pulled the wound and he let out a gasp, gritting his teeth. He wasn’t certain he would make it home in one piece, truth be told.

“Do you know anything of healing?” he would ask her, with a sigh he settled back down into the tall grass. The blood dripped down his coat, and standing was only increasing its flow, and the pain. He wasn’t yet certain if it was luck or misfortune that lead him to the stranger, but for the moment he didn’t have the strength to protest.

Aurielle Adravendi

Aurielle’s observant gradated blue gaze had indeed caught the sway, and yet she restrained herself from stepping forward until he had accepted her help. While he was clearly offering no threat, he wasn’t exactly inviting her in yet.

Her curiosity had been slightly piqued by the almost contrite way his eyes had flicked away from hers after he’d met her gaze. Was he evasive for a reason? Or… did he not like eye contact? She hadn’t missed his eyes on her mane—it was a natural reaction from most everyone she met for the first time, with mixed responses. Most noticed it even more when it managed to slip forward between her ears like the forelock of a horse.

Finally, he seemed to relent, and lowered himself, though not without reopening the wound on his shoulder, staining the air with fresh blood-scent.

At his query, she nodded, muzzle dipping as she moved forward, though cautiously, giving him a clear option to refuse outright.

“I grew up from birth around two healers. My.. mother and my cousin. It’s impossible not to pick something up, even if my pack doesn’t hold a standard of learning basic field healing. As it was, I had lessons from the moment I could understand.”

It was impossible to completely hide the catch in her voice as she spoke of her mother, and she smoothed it over by scanning the area and giving a soft noise of satisfaction as she spotted two plants that would help stop the bleeding. Yarrow and Agrimony. And Yarrow had the added benefit of being good for cleaning the wound, too. Not so good as other herbs, and certainly not as effective as water, but she didn’t have a bladder flask along, today.

She shifted her path to move to the plants, bending her head to nip steps from both stands before moving back to the male, pausing a few feet out of lunging range, clearly a last offer for refusal of her help, even as she offered an introduction.

“I am Aurielle Adravendi, by the way, Spirit of Valhalla—or its alpha.”
