The Last One

Cloud was doing his best to keep things easier for his brother to the best of his ability. He still wondered when the kids were coming back, what Abaven's alpha was planning for that. He still didn't like that she involved herself where she didn't belong, but until his brother decided what he wanted to do about it, Cloud would wait it out with him. For now, he headed eastward, unknowingly closer to Abaven than he intended. He thought about his mother, wondering how she was doing and if she was still alive...he felt he should pay a visit despite his misgivings about the pack. But he wasn't going to visit the pack, just his mother. He needed to see her, to know just how much time she might have left in this world. And hopefully...he might be able to spend what little time she had left with her.
