Wash Away The Memories

She vaguely remembered this place. She had been here before but what she remembered was different than this. Perhaps it was just her old mind playing tricks and it was the same as it had always been, she wasn't sure. It had been years and years since she visited any of these lands, and some she probably had never visited even in her youth. The old woman walked through the rain unperturbed as it drenched her small body. She had been through so much throughout the years that the rain didn't even faze her. Emerald green eyes watched as the drops pelted the surface of the lake, filling it to the brim and even causing the usually calm lake to stir and rise above where it normally sat. She had a good, long life. She had made it the best she could since she left these lands more than a decade ago, and she wondered what all had changed. Speech Thought Others |
