You will never break the chain
Paradise pups

It had been a bit since Theta’s family had come to the North and Theta still wasn’t letting up her thoughts. The North was every bit as bad as she made it out to be, it was colder than home and there was no-one worth talking to up here. The bareness of the landscape didn’t make it easy to hide either. Theta was bored out of her mind sure, but was that going to change her opinion of life at the moment? You bet it wasn’t, Theta was a determined pup and if she broke her stance now she wasn’t going to live it down.

Idalia was slowly exploring her home now she could leave the den for more than a few hours at a time. Without Incendio at her side, she was skittish and uncertain. There were bare patches around her paw pads from where she had anxiously licked the fur off. Although she had never known a home other than the north, her young body was still acclimating to the chill in the air. Luckily it was summertime, and although the air had stiffness to it, it was certainly better than it would be later this year. Other wolves had talked about preparing for the winter, but she wasn't quite sure exactly what that would mean yet. On her rounds, Idalia bumped into Theta. Instead of apologizing or speaking, the younger pup simply stared at her dumbly. Without Incendio to mirror, she wasn't sure what to do.

At last, they were free to explore the pines! When they had first arrived, they were still too young to out on their own, barely even able to balance let alone walk on their own. But now, they were bigger and could keep up! He had been playing with his mom, tugging her ears and romping around before he spotted his twin sister off in the distance. Curious, he abandoned his game with his mom and set off after getting the okay that he could do so. The fiery boy clumsily followed after his sisters tracks, and it didn't take too long before he spotted her up ahead near someone else. He paused a couple yards back, sapphire blue eyes narrowing on the bigger pup. According to his mom and dad, that was one of their older siblings. Though she didn't look that much older than him. Head held high, he walked over until he stood side by side with his sister, eyeing the other girl up and down. "Hey sis, watcha doin'?" He was talking to his twin of course, but he didn't make that clear and instead, decided to let them guess who exactly he was talking to.

“Wait for me!” Volcanic called and bumbled clumsily over to his two litter mates Incendio and Isalia were always leaving him behind while he had to stay back at the den. His father had said he didn’t want him to get hurt, but if that were true he wouldn’t have let his two siblings do as they pleased.
He moved toward the two silhouettes in his world of darkness his head raised as he felt for each step with his left paw. He caught a scent that was neither of his siblings but was not so dissimilar from them as he drew closer and came to a stop just behind his brother, his head turned slightly as he stared blankly into the distance. "Who's that?" He piped suddenly, his voice shrill with curiosity.

Theta was caught off guard as a younger pup came up and stared at her. It looked like one of her supposed siblings, she still didn’t believe that these were related to her. She quickly responded to the first one that arrived with a deadpan look “It’s not nice to stare, it makes you look stupid.”
It didn’t take long for another to appear that said ”Hey sis, watcha doin’” Theta was horrified by the idea that either of these pups might call her sister and hoped that the new pup was referring to the other one. Theta took a deep breath as yet another pup came over and not only said wait for me but also asked who Theta was. Had these pups not even been told about her and her siblings? “I’m a fucking tornado that’s who, and I’m going to make all of your lives miserable because you’re all stupid!”

Stupid - now that was a new one. Idalia wasn't entirely sure what it meant, but Theta said it with enough venom that she knew it was a horrible thing. She curled her lips and bared her teeth a little, straightening up quickly and puffing out her chest when Incendio appeared by her side. Idalia leaned on his shoulder and mirrored his posture, keeping her lip curled at Theta. Although she wasn't sure exactly which pup Theta was, she knew that they were related. "Just lookin' at something ugly," Idalia said snidely to her brother, knowing he was speaking to her. It wasn't even a question. Why would he address this nasty stranger?
Idalia peeped over her shoulder as Volcanic appeared, making note of where he was standing so she could keep an eye on him, with one ear still focused on Theta's tantrum. A tornado was a natural disaster, capable of flattening trees - she'd recently learned this after pestering her mother about some recent rainstorms. Theta didn't look strong enough to flatten a tree at all. Idalia giggled at the thought and turned to her brother. "What a baby." Only little puppies yelled and pouted.

This girl was flat out mean and rude! He knew they hadn't done anything to deserve the words that Theta was saying to them, but for some reason she seemed to flat out hate them. He frowned and raised his hackles when she called his sister stupid, noting how dumb she sounded and looked as she threw her tantrum. When Volcanic appeared with them and asked who it was, Incendio scoffed. "Just a baby thinkin' she's the shit, that's who!" He knew she was one of their siblings, but he didn't want to be related to someone who acted like such a brat! "Nobody calls my sister or my brother stupid, you hear!" He growled, sapphire eyes glittering with cold anger. Nobody ever treated his siblings without disrespect unless they actually deserved it, but as far as he knew, they hadn't done jack shit to deserve so much of this girls hatred. "You must really hate yourself to act like such a bitch!" He spat.
Yeah. He said it. Thanks to eavesdropping on some of the adults, Incendio had learned a whole new vocabulary, and he didn't give a damn if it upset his older sister. She clearly didn't care if what she was saying hurt any of them. If that was the case, he'd give her something to really cry about. He glanced at Idalia and Volcanic, wondering if they'd follow his lead. While the three of them were the same age, he would be damned if he couldn't protect them against a bully like Theta! "You think you're big and bad little tornado? I'll show you what fire can do!" He spat before leaping towards her. He rushed her, briefly glancing over his shoulder to see if his other two siblings would join in before he returned his attention back to Theta and aimed to slam his shoulder into the crook of her elbow in an effort to make her leg buckle and bring her down. Tucking his tail and flattening his ears, he snarled and sought to plant his teeth into the left side of her neck, seeking a hard grip to further drag her down.

It was over and soon as it had begun. With Incendio coming out the winner! He had brought her to her knees just like he intended, and a smug look planted itself on his face as he stepped back to stand before his siblings, glittering cold sapphire eyes on his elder sisters form. "I guess fire beats you. Don't talk shit to us again or I'll make you eat it next time. Literally." He growled. He would make good on that threat if she continued to treat them the way she had been. The thought of forcing her to literally eat shit highly amused him, and half of him wanted her to keep at it in the future just so he could watch her do it. He wasn't afraid of her. He never would be. If she continued to think she was better than them, well...he'd continue to knock her down. To his siblings he said, "See guys? She ain't as tough as she thinks she is."
