Just a few seasons ago Typhon Abraxas would've been inwardly terrified at the thought of sparring against Ashiel. It wasn't that he was older, but in his mind he was a far more.. integral member of the family than he could ever be. He was far more experienced in the ways of their family and their religion, and he couldn't help but feel lesser to him, though the thought didn't bother him as much as it once would've. Typhon had another purpose in this world, one that didn't entirely involve being a foot soldier for their God, though knowing how to properly defend himself and his family was still a priority. Just.. it came second to being a father, now.

He moved away from the group and sought out Ashiel's gaze, his lips quirking in a faint smile. "Ashiel," he greeted his family member fondly, his head dipping in a slightly exaggerated bow. He maintained eye contact as he lifted his head and quickly thought over his next words before speaking. "Let the first move be yours," he suggested lightly, deciding him he owed him the first move as a sign of respect.

Ashiel trailed behind, his mind refusing to focus to the task at hand. It wasn't good to be thinking of his daughter right now when he needed to be preparing for a fight. Yet, he couldn't help it, especially since Typhon had just had his own litter. Ashiel could remember taking Mæva from Leshia, carrying her little body that great distance…

Ashiel brought himself back to attention as he faced off against Typhon who was giving him the first move. He nodded and then swiftly set his defenses. When he felt he was prepared enough he charged straight for Typhon aiming to hit the other man head-on. He sought to throw his chest into Typhon's chest while simultaneously attempting to bite the other man's face, with his upper fangs seeking to pierce the flesh above Typhon's left eye and his lower fangs seeking to hook underneath the man's jaw. He opted to keep all four feet on the ground in case he needed to quickly change direction. Best to keep his attacks simple for now until he could realign his focus.
