Chaos loped along the pack border with a casual air that contradicted the deep thoughts within. A lot of turmoil had caused rifts between members of his own family lately, between Rhyme and Rhythms return, the slave raid, Rhymes litters and his subsequent removal from the family name, and most lately Ash's relationship - of you could call it that- with the Destruction girl. That upheaval was being reflected in Legion, he felt, but he wasn't sure he was yet in a place emotionally to deal with that. He also, however, wasn't sure he could afford to wait, either.

He mentally gnawed at the problems like a bone, worrying and fretting. He had to laugh at himself though. Who would have thought he would ever grow into the kind of wolf who would even care about his own problems, let alone everyone else's? But he did, and it felt at times like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. And the worst part was, he had no one to share the problems with, someone he could talk things over with, bounce ideas at, vent to. Valentine was his hero but the old man had more than enough of his own problems to deal with without Chaos adding to it.

He recognized absently that his path had taken him across the border while he had worried, into the orchard that had once also been part of his family's lands. He didn't correct his path, though, instead continuing to wander further into the fruit filled orchard.

it was autumn. at last. Morgan felt much more comfortable in this weather, especially with the heat having died down. but the south was still warmer than the north. at least she didn't have to worry about overheating with her coat the way it was. the piebald woman made her way into the orchard, marveling at the vacant branches and the remaining fruits that clung so desperately to them. the fruit that had departed lay around the base of the trees, flies buzzing quietly to them. she didn't even want to sniff at them; she knew they were past their prime.

ahead of her, she could see a shape moving along. at first glance, it was like a shadow and she had to adjust her eyes by blinking. no; it was a wolf. Morgan seemed to be going in the same direction as the other too, and she tried to veer away. but she was too close to them by now and she'd halt to allow him to pass her by. he may have seen her as well. conscious of it being the first wolf she had met since the season's change, her head gave a sharp dip of greeting to the man. she noted his long front canines with some envy. heck, it'd be so cool to have something like that.

but Morgan didn't seem to register he was deep in thought. she said nothing to him, however, and only awaited his passing or acknowledgment before moving on herself.

Chaos ears flickered at the faint sound of pawsteps before they stopped, and he came to a stop too to peer alertly through the orchard. Deep in thought he may be, but Chaos has survived this long in life by being aware enough to not be taken by surprise. He had enemies aplenty who would no doubt be pleased to catch him with his metaphorical pants down and - if he was lucky - beat the shit out of him.

The wolf he saw didnt seem to be waiting in ambush, but rather just… waiting. She didnt seem to be holding herself fearfully, like she was afraid of him noticing her. So what was she waiting for? For him to go by unaware and not need to socialize? Well, how rude, he chuckled to himself with amusement. A perverse desire filled him, the desire to make her interact with him anyway just because she had tried to avoid him, and he cocked a brow at her with a lazy grin, sidling closer. "Hey," he called out casually.

Through no fault of the poor dear's own, she had caught him at a time he desperately needed distraction, and Chaos knew no better way to distract himself than to pester someone else.

"hey yourself" the piebald said immediately, eyes focusing on his face as he acknowledged her. so he wanted to talk? well... maybe that wouldn't be so bad. but she did need to address the elephant in the room. but it was more like two elephants. a little smirk crossed her features as she dipped her head to gesture at his massive canines. Morgan wasn't one to shy away from someone's appearance. instead, as corny as it sounded she saw the beauty in anyone. weird, right? "I think you won the genetic lottery. those look like fun to have. certainly makes fighting and hunting easier, eh?"

a pause then she shook her head briskly. "sorry. that's rude of me" but it had been a compliment. that was something. plus she'd never seen a mutated wolf before. it was... well, damn it was cool. she continued on. "if you're busy, I can just leave. didn't want to interrupt you when you were... seemingly lost in thought." Morgan added in, explaining her reasoning for standing there doing nothing while he was there. but the guy didn't seem that offended. he seemed... amused, almost. biting her tongue from awkwardly going into a rant, she waited for him to respond.
