Finally the day had come that she could venture out from under her mother's side and wander on her own. Over-sized paws carried her out and away from her den to a part of Ebony's lands she had been very curious about - the Rock Garden. Phim couldn't understand why she wanted to wander there, only that she felt naturally drawn toward the strange place and its formations.

As the child toddled over the melting snow, she was in awe. Rocks were literally everywhere, and most were large. Some even bigger than her father! Her forest green eyes were wide as she absorbed every aspect of her surroundings and began to understand how insignificant she was there. Among all of these massive structures she was minuscule, just a child with big, ugly paws with no particular use. She frowned as the realization dawned on her and dropped back on her rump, head hanging in defeat. Maybe being here wasn't so exciting after all.
