she was not a jealous woman, even if she was quite protective over her mate. the fact that Acere was sharing a den with a girl he had adopted as his own was seen as something to celebrate. for if Heloise was his wife now, that made the girl her daughter. she had little chances to actually meet Altair, and she felt today was as good as any day. walking slowly through the pines, she made her way to the ship. the ground was still a bit bloody from the polar bear invasion but the corpse had been traded for the freedom of Thora already. raising herself over the ship's side, she would enter the depths. Heloise had followed the girl's scent here and now she called out for her. "Altair? are you here?" knowing her name from Acere and a brief introduction at the border, she knew nothing else. patiently, she waited for the girl to show herself. her injury was still a bit fresh and ached a little, though she ignored it. if she started complaining about her battle scars now, it was a hard fought battle; she was covered in them already. no use complaining over something she could not change. it wasn't like she was self-conscious either. Altair gave a slight yawn as her body curled into a small ball. She was happy to finally have a home of her own, and some wolves whom she considered family. It still shocked her a little when the older wolf, Acere, had wanted her to join his family. It was something the pup would truly remember for the rest of her life, especially when she didn’t have anything for quite a long time. Her ears flicked however when a voice called out for her. Her dual-colored eyes blinked open slightly to make sure she heard correctly and it wasn’t just sleep that was getting to her.

However, it was a voice that she remembered if only slightly. She had heard about Heloise and how her mentor and adopted father had made her his mate; and it was something the child was rather excited and happy with. Altair was ecstatic that Acere had someone by his side that made him happy. She got up and gently shook her form before getting up and following the she-wolf’s voice, poking her head out from a small crevice in the ship, tilting her crown slightly in interest, “Hello,” she spoke, giving a small smile as her little tail wagged. “I hope your day is going well?” The young pup always liked to be a little open and ask the day of another wolf’s before continuing a conversation; she just thought that it’d be a nice gesture regardless.

Heloise stood, looking down at the pale girl as she appeared from her crevice. a small yet soft smile tugged at her lips as Altair addressed her. it was mindful of the way her father had taught her to speak to others she did not know; polite and with good meaning behind it. she must have practiced for hours in hopes of making him proud. "it is well, thank you" she would reply easily "and how is your own?" though she had sought out the girl to introduce herself to, it was best to get right to pleasantries. it got them out of the way. a pause to allow the girl to speak before she launched in again. "we have not met... formally yet. I only wished to speak with you, if you are not busy?" she'd add in hopefully. perhaps not so good to speak to a child like an adult, but Heloise saw no other way. if she did not keep up her formalities, it would be awkward. Altair had arrived before Acere and her were together, and as such Heloise had no control over the girl's presence. and she did not want to overstep either, especially if Acere had plans to train her himself. "SPEECH"

Altair Altair's tail wagged slightly against the wooden boards that helped bring one to the entrance of the robust structure that was the ship. Heloise seemed rather nice, and she was happy that the male she called a father had someone that he loved; and, on top of that, she could also call this woman 'mom' if she so desired. But, she kept the warm smile plastered upon her maw as she spoke. "It's going rather well, thank you for asking," She spoke formally to the woman as she dipped her head slightly in thanks before heading the woman's voice and question. Altair was always open for conversation or even possibly lessons, so the thought of speaking with her adopted mother made the young pup's heart race slightly, but it was good nonetheless as her tail swayed even more in excitement as she began being her chipper self. "Father hasn't given me any lessons or assignments, so I'd be more than happy to speak with you! Don't hesitate to talk to me about anything," She spoke, trying to lighten the mood in hopes that Heloise would warm up to her a little more if she hadn't already. After all, they had only met each other slightly at the border and that was the end of their introduction. Altair was sure they had a lot to discuss if they really wanted to, so she waited patiently on the older she-wolf's words, giving her, her full attention. "Speech"

Altair was a polite child. Heloise could not ask for more. she disliked those that turned against authority, and while she was not one of authority, she considered it one of those excellent qualities to have. she chuckled softly, looking fondly at the girl. "life is about more than assignments" she found herself disagreeing with that subconsciously, knowing that she did nothing but work. she wanted more for Altair though. she wanted her to enjoy herself. "there are plenty of young wolves in Winterfell. do you have any friends here?" she was curious to know how the girl had integrated herself in Winterfell so far. had she made any friends? acquaintances? even a few people she disagreed with? what did she do for fun? that sort of thing. but she resisted bombarding her with questions for now. "and do not hesitate to ask me anything, though I am often a poor choice in subject" Heloise added with another chuckle. true, the woman did not seem to like speaking about herself. she considered herself a boring subject. "SPEECH"
