Pestilence seemed to always be lacking in things to do lately. She'd already gone to Aunty Hela, Aunty Pandora, Uncle Hari, her mother, and she was running out of people to bother for attention. Lower down on her list lately was her father - the many sermons were wearing down on the pup and she was tired of learning about religion. Where were all the fun lessons, like stalking and hunting and fighting and healing? The pup grumbled beneath her breath, huffing quietly. Today, today she'd go straight up to her dad and demand he teach her something useful. A skill she could actually use, not Gods and religion and chatter. She strode up to the palace and sat her butt on the sunning rock outside. "DAAAD." The young pup called out. "Thinking" "You." |

Archon had been busy gathering things for their last sermon. He had many pups and things that required his attention. Due to that, he felt as if he was lacking in his pack duties. He'd have to talk to Deathbelle about what he could do in the future. He knew he needed to step up to show many of the Kleins their place. So many of them had such big egos with no real reason for it. It wasn't like they were gods, no, just mere mortals with their heads in the clouds. Not Deathbelle, of course. She was different, and Archon knew he was blessed for finding her as she searched for Hannibal rather than his other siblings.
Pestilence called for him and he was silently thankful. She had been poking her nose around the Kleins more than he'd like and he feared she would be taking their ideals and views on religion to heart. He wondered if maybe he should invite some of the like-minded Abraxas for a visit.
"Yes, Pesto?" he said, a light smile on his features as he cam to her. "What is it?"

Pestilence did her best to look regal and princess-like as she sat upon the sunning rock. You couldn't demand something from someone if you looked like a helpless infant, and so she lifted her head proudly and made sure her back was straightened tall as Archon approached. He was smiling, and it very nearly broke the pup's posture as more then anything she wanted to grin back. Although, with a smile came a wagging tail and she couldn't sit very long to begin with unless she focused on it. She knew she had to be stern and brave and strong like her parents. "Father." She greeted him as professionally as she could think of. What would she ask for? Healing? Hunting? Fighting? Against her will, the pup's tail began to wag against the rock at the ideas that bubbled up inside her head. "Can we learn something today? Something more... physical?" Pestilence had to be careful with her words, because asking for a non-Abraxas related lesson might upset her dad and she didn't want to get in trouble. "Thinking" "You." |

His daughter tried to be serious and regal in her appearance, only serving to make Archon's smile grow. She requested that they go learn something physical. Archon nodded knowingly. Long sermons could make the best of pups restless. "Of course," he said. "I was just about to go look for some ceremonial herbs for Obi if you'd like to come." Archon had studied healing a long time ago and still knew some herbal basics. Maybe he could fit in a lesson on mortal healing along with his teachings of ceremonial herbs.
Archon gave her a warm smile and sought to nudge her shoulder. "Would you like to climb on, my princess, or would walking suit you today?"

Pestilence let out a grumble and a sigh. "Ceremonial herbs?" She clarified, voice flat. "OK fine, herbs are herbs." The pup stood and shook out her pelt, casting a glare towards the den where she assumed Obi was doing more religious things. Likely preparing for sermon number four hundred, if Pesto had to guess. Her father asked if she'd like to ride or walk and she cocked her head to the side, considering hard. She wanted to do something active and fun and riding didn't sound very active, but then again she couldn't ignore the draw of riding high up on someone's back, seeing the world through a big wolf's eyes. "I'll ride." She agreed quietly, a small smile creeping onto her lips as she looked up at him. Scampering quickly to his side she lifted her front end to rest her paws upon his side, waiting for him to get low enough for her to climb on. Pestilence hadn't seen any of her siblings riding on their father, especially none of her half- siblings. The princess felt very special to be offered such a fun time. "Thinking" "You." |

Archon's smile lifted as his daughter agreed to accompany him, no matter how reluctant she might have been. He was even more glad as she agreed to ride. He lowered himself and let her climb on. "Hold fast," he told her gently as he slowly began to move. He was careful to keep his walk fluid and steady. He made his way to some of the herbs.
"Do you know much about ceremonial herbs?" Archon asked, sure that the answer was no. "Almost any herb can do, but many like to follow a sort of... convention for which ones are best for whatever task."

Pestilence enjoyed the ride, holding on to her dad as he walked slow and steady for her benefit. Her ears flicked forward to catch his speech. Ceremonial herbs? "What's ceremonial about herbs?" She asked with a tilt of her head. Something else occurred to her then, and she just had to tell her dad. "Someone taught me about an herb that makes wolves poo." The princess announced proudly. Sure it might not be ceremonial but it was fun, and fun was way more important. She giggled softly, clinging onto her father tighter so that her laughter would not make her lose her balance. "Thinking" "You." |

Pestilence asked what was ceremonial about herbs. Before he could answer, she announced that there was an herb that could "make wolves poo." Archon let out a soft laugh and shot a glance up at her, "There are several that do that. But I'll tell you more about those when you're a little older." He didn't need his daughter going around and... cleaning out when whole pack as some ill-founded prank.
Archon, instead, moved on to other uses for herbs, "Well, you know that you can use Agrimony to stop a wolf from... pooing." Maybe she was interested in that sort of stuff. Archon continued to walk, casting an unsure glance behind him. "I doesn't work right away, though."
