Lament Pyre He fulfilled his promise to Eris, and purchased Oxide, effectively freeing him from the clutches of the slavers. Of course, the Ademre band was still beholden to the woman, so they would not be completely free of her yet. He walked a ways away from Valkyrie, leaving her to admire the newest addition of wares to her collection. Once he was out of earshot and effectively away from the trader, he stopped and looked back at Oxide, who had followed him as he expected the man to. “I have purchased you, but you are not beholden to me. You have a choice to make now, you can walk free, and leave all of this behind you. Or, you can join me, Eris, and ours, and be welcomed into our band. If you choose this option, you will fight alongside us, first for Valkyrie, and then for us.” he told the man, leaving no illusions to the future. "Speech"|"Ademic"

He wasn’t sure how he felt about his debt being paid by Eris’s brother. Surely the Ademre could have used the weapons Valkyrie now boasted possession of. However, he knew that being in Lament’s debt was better than Valkyrie’s. Oxide followed Lament without comment until Valk was far enough away she couldn’t hear. He paused and looked to the Ademre man. Oxide blinked back any emotion he might have shown as Lament gave him two options.

Lament didn’t know him well enough, Oxide couldn’t have chosen any path but Eris. His little shadow, who he had been separated from for so long. He could have her at his side as he fought for the viking queen. Instead of her being away from him while he was serving out his commitment. ”I will gladly take up arms beside you and Eris.” He spoke truthfully and with no hesitation. He was never going to leave her side again.

Lament Pyre He studied the man for a moment as he thought over his options, and he could see the devotion in his reddish toned eyes. He didn’t know what was going on between Oxide and his younger sister, but he could see that whatever it was was inevitable. Lament accepted it, knowing that to do otherwise would only destroy his sisters happiness. “Very well, then welcome to the band of the Ademre.” he said, his paw tapping out acceptance, anticipation and loyalty as he spoke. He had seen Oxide use this discipline to show some of his emotions at the bidding, but he did not know how far the knowledge went, and he had still been visibly emotional as well. "Speech"|"Ademic"

Oxide didn’t know too many words in the Ademre language, and he was out of practice after being denied Eris for so long. They were soul bonded, and he hadn’t realized how much he ached for her until he’d gotten to lay his dark ruby gaze upon her once more. She was broken and abused, but Oxide would see to it that nothing like this happened to her again. Oxide had been anything but secretive of his passion for her when they met at the auction, but he couldn’t tell how Lament felt about his interest in his sister. Not strongly enough to say anything about it.

The Ademre man accepted him quickly into his ranks and Oxide nodded. ”Thank you, Lament. For everything.” For freeing him, for helping to release Eris from her bonds.. Oxide didn’t know how he’d do tied down, but it would be better beside Eris than on his own in the viking band.
