Deathbelle had returned without him. Deathbelle had returned without him. Smoke and ash had filled the air, the earth had rocked, and something in the demon goddess's mind broke. It was not safe for her to remain with Ashen, her reason gone and rage mounting. It bubbled and boiled like lava, the volcano was God's wrath supposedly, but it seemed to grow more angry the more she got angry. Dea gathered her children in haste, and ushered them away from the worst of the destruction. Driving them on a northern route as she had once been driven south by her own parents.
Not once had she turned her hatred for the world on her children. All she had left of him, they were the most precious gifts. The dark goddess reassured and shushed fears, gave kisses and loving nips to her babies and encouraged them onward. She was now free of her obligation to Ashen, her contract ended by the death of the only being she had ever felt affection for. It had made her bitter and hard to find in the end, but in a way it helped the devil push passed her loss and into the hellish demon she could truly be. Dea nosed her Lilybet, pushing her on, giving a gentle reminder that they must keep going.
"Just a bit further, little ones." The dark goddess crooned to her babies. She was proud of them, as any mother would be, but they also meant something more to her now. They would be forever the pieces of Archon that truly loved her, they shared his blood, and they were hers alone. Pink gaze landed on just what she was looking for, caves that would protect her little ones and be easily defended. Remembering the dream of her father, Dea gave a secret smile, blending the ideals of her family with the ideologies of her religion. She would teach her children all she had learned from both worlds. It was time to begin, what better time than now?
