Sirius had a great deal of work ahead of himself, to whip the young girl into shape. She had a lot of spunk, and fire, he just needed to channel it appropriately. She had fought like a desperate, wild thing when she had fought for her freedom. Now he would teach her to fight steady, and smart.

He found a decent clearing in the red rocks, shoving things aside and making a circle shaped arena for the two fighters. Once he declared the space prepared, he tossed back his head, and he howled for the girl, for his young pupil to come to him. He had given her little time to settle into Ashen. She wasn’t here on a holiday, she was here to learn, and he only had a year to shape her into what he needed her to be.

She didn’t have much time to process what had happened when the beast called for her, though keen to press her boundaries right now she knew better than to push her luck. She didn’t like the rocks, she didn't much like what she had seen of the wolves of this pack, and she certainly did not like the man who’d forced claim over her. Still, icy paws carried her tall frame towards his chosen classroom.

Poem remained silent as she appeared before him, blue and lavender eyes uneasy as she looked his display over. He stood proudly in the small arena, and it didn’t take long for her to figure out its purpose. He did not hesitate to get to the bloody part. Poem’s stomach twisted into knots but she approached the edge of the rock bordered ring regardless.

He looked to the young warrior as she stopped him. She was silent, and he could feel her weariness, despite the blankness of her expression. She was a decent hide, she did not rival him, but she wasn’t far off. It was a shame she had finished growing, she had almost reached his equal in height.

“Alright” he said after a moment. “Set your defenses, lets see what you’ve got” he assumed this was a part of training that her people had concentrated heavily on, with their concerns being to keep the young woman safe. He gave her a few moments to do as he had bid, and then walked a circle around her, and found little fault with her stance.

“Very well, come at me, and come for blood, my pupil.” he said as he came to a stop back in his original place in the circle, setting his own stances as bid his student to attack.

She still didn’t trust him, despite how soft he’d been with Motif when he’d released her. She knew that he was about to make good on his earlier promise to her. He had no fear of spilling her blood, and no doubt the girl would soon experience exactly what that meant. He was quick to put her to the lesson and had her start with showing off her defensive position. She felt like a tiny pup as his cruel blue stare looked her over.

She had lowered her head and ears while she bent her knees and elbows and evenly distributed her weight. He found no fault in her stance and came back to face her, giving her the next instruction. The real training was to begin, and she was not to hold anything back.

Poem wouldn’t have anyway, she knew very well he was her better in the ring but if she could manage to sink her fangs into him. That would be the ultimate prize. Poem didn’t hesitate, she aimed to surge forward with the point of her right shoulder aimed for Sirius’s chest to knock the wind from his lungs. At the same time she’d lift her head with jaws open as she aimed to grasp hold tightly to his jugular from beneath his chin.

He held still and steady, his own defenses set as the impressive Warlord spread out his weight and looked at her with a calm patience. When his pupil exploded towards him, he watched the intent in the angle of her body, the ripple of her muscles. Her shoulder flew towards his chest, and he rose himself upwards, letting the blow hit him just below the shoulder, and rocking his weight backwards to absorb the blow. It was still a hard punch, and he appreciated that, but it did not wind him as she desired.

Her teeth came for his jugular and he lowered his muzzle, letting her teeth his elongated fangs instead of their meaty prize. “Good” he said, holding steady. “expect to get foiled, make the most of what you have. You’ve got me in a tight quarters, one of my greatest assets is my fangs, how are you going to keep them from your skin?” he asked her, as he made his own moves.

He aimed to twist his right leg around her left, attempting to graze her skin with the weapon he kept hidden there. His fangs he angled with the intent of scrapping them across the skin of her cheek just below her eye.

Poem’s shoulder connected and pushed him back but it wasn’t quite the hit she intended. Canines met fangs as Sirius deflected her blow with ease. She could scarcely grumble as he spoke but there was enough time for her to back out of his reach before he returned his attack. As Poem retreated Sirius would still manage to graze her with his attacks. The blade slipped over her wrist to create a shallow cut that bled easily. His fangs would catch her muzzle, but not enough to break the skin. She cried out in surprise and pain at the sudden opening of her skin.

The young Destruction girl barely covered another cry of frustration at being pit at such an impossible opponent. She growled heavily but came at him with a different approach. She aimed to make attempt to circle around him enough to aim her jaws at his haunches. Poems bite wanted to grab hold and damage the muscle there before trying to rush out of his reach again.

He could sense her frustration, but she did not give up for it. Good. He was worried she would lose her drive, now that she wasn’t trying to save a sister. She was giving it her all, as she backed away, blood leaking from her skin where his unnatural fangs had gotten her. He was yet to introduce her to his feline-like claws, but then a warrior always had to keep something in reserve.

She circled, and he did not move or follow her with his eyes as she made her way behind him. Instead, his gaze turned to the vulture that sat on a stone some meters before him. The quiet, stern creature watched him with an unblinking gaze, and he in turn stared back.

When the vulture raised its head in a quick, threatening bob, Sirius lashed out his right back leg, knowing Poem’s attack was incoming. Kicking like a horse, he aimed to not only fend off her attack, but to distract her, as he whirled his body towards her and aimed to snap his fangs at her muzzle, but she had already backed out of his reach. He gave her a smile, and fell still again. “Again” he ordered, as he waited for her to attack.
