She would return to the place that she hated. The place where she had been taken, beaten, hurt. Scents were stale here, no longer would the scents of her captors remain. Amber eyes gazed up at the structure, the place eerily quiet. She had remembered this place so well, the stench of rotting flesh and the roiling cackling laughter of her once captors. She wasn't sure what brought her back here, she didn't know why she had walked from her former home to the place she had once been afraid of. Perhaps to find redemption, no. Revenge against the one who had stolen almost a year of her life from her. The one who had treated her so badly, so cruelly...the one who didn't care whether she died in the fields of war. The memories would bring hot tears to her eyes, threatening to spill over while her throat produced a deep growl that wanted to rip from her maw. But she contained it, however hard it was.

She was bigger now. Should she ever run into that bitch Canttina again, she would rip her throat out...but of course, she didn't know she had gone and killed herself after the war. To Avalon, her enemy would forever be alive...at least, until she found out that information. For so long she had been afraid, untrusting of the world since her ordeal. She had secluded herself, remained in the soulsand cove since her rescue. Waiting for her family to return...But now, she would go in search of them. The feeling that they might never return to the cove, that they were forever lost weighing heavily on her mind. She was alone now. No one who loved her, no one to trust. Just, her.

While Avalon had been going through hell the past few seasons, Odette's life had been peachy keen. She had gained a large family after being adopted by Chrysanthe, something she would never take back for all the glory in the world. Once she had joined Valhalla, she had come across more wolves she had never seen in one setting. Among those wolves had been Jinxx, someone she had barely known before coming to the large pack. Now that she was older and more focused on her future, she saw the Black male beside her in most of those scenes. She sincerely hoped that she was not having an impossible dream.
Now that Valhalla was at stake for its title and members, Odette was beginning to feel nervous. Erani was older and had knowledge, but her challenger was way more limber, younger, and had the energy she could hold onto for hours. So, while the pack's reputation and future hung in the balance, Odette's restless paws began to kick up again. She was out and about from her home, intending to get away from the nervous wolves that had picked up on her vibes. She had to get away and the North was one of those spots to be.
Why she came upon the ship, she had no idea. The vessel long ago used for battle was something she had never seen, so with small fascination, she decided to approach it. Sounds began to vibrate through the large machine as Odette approached and suddenly, she stopped. What if this place had become someone's home? She would be trespassing and had no idea how this person would react to her presence. As she stood a good seven feet from the entrance, she caught a fresh scent that was vaguely familiar...Could it possibly be her family, after so long? Thoughts of reuniting with Gargoyle and Ocena flashed in her mind and time wasn't wasted as she bent the rules of trespassing. She was going to see them!
Her tan paws touched the cold metal, its sounds vibrating through the ship to whomever was in there. Red and blue eyes frantically looked around for a massive shape and a small one, but only shadows met her gaze. Hope started to dwindle as she pursued the scent of the unknown wolf, hoping that somehow, some way, it would know something about her parents' whereabouts. Her heart rate increased as she scrambled around the unfamiliar passages, getting closer to the scent that she dearly missed. Once she came upon the widening birth to the engine room, she saw the figure laying on its back in the middle. Light from a porthole fell upon the breathing pelt and Odette slowly approached it. "Papa...?" She softly asked, breath becoming mist in front of her very eyes.

Avalon

She would wander about the structure of the abandoned ship. Memories never forgotten consuming her with each step she took. The room she had been locked in, the door wide open. She stared in there, the scents of old Amenti long gone. Old blood, her blood, stained the ground where her leg once infected had been allowed to bleed. Fresh wounds over old wounds, never allowed to heal. Although it was behind her now, she couldn't forget. She would turn away, continuing on her exploration. Paws stepped quietly upon the wood and steel surfaces, eyes and ears aware around her as she thought that perhaps one of her captors might still be lurking here. Oh how she wanted to rip into the throats of them all...Canttina...Morgana...Ryu...Karmen...and countless others. They all had deathwishes, and she would deliver them. Though she knew not that they had all signed their own contracts and met death all on their own. A growl bubbled in her throat, slowly fading as she stopped in a hallway. Her paws had led her to a lower structure, and she was sure she was near the bottom of the ship now.

The hall was dark. A lone light further down beckoned to her, and for some reason it would pull her in. Drawing out her curiosity. She was nervous, yet she did not feel afraid. She would close her eyes for a moment, calming her pounding heart and rage. And yet, they would flash open as she felt the air around her brush against her pelt. But...it felt too real. She turned around, amber gaze finding nothing. And the air was still, was it her imagination perhaps? Facing forward again, Avalon would gaze at the small dull light as it seemed to flicker. She would take a single step forward, stopping immediately. Scents would wash over her, another touch would brush against her shoulder this time as she stared at the flickering ember of light. She was afraid to turn around, to look. For fear that she would see something she was afraid to see. Swallowing, she would turn her ears, and a voice would whisper her name. It sounded sweet, like a summer song. Her breath caught in her throat, her chest tightening.

"Mom?" A single word fell from her lips. Throat tightening as she stared in disbelief. It had to have been her imagination...there was no way her mother would be here...not after so long of searching. Slowly, she walked forward. Gaze never leaving the light that she saw. The closer she got, the more the air around her would feel comforting. Like a blanket cast over her. Protecting her. She wanted to pick up the pace, but feared that if she moved too fast she would lose what she was chasing. A scent would hit her, washing over her. Calming her. Calling her. Her heart would pound, another word falling from her inky lips. "Mom...?" She would draw close, the feeling never leaving her as she gazed upon what stood before her the moment she entered the room. Through the doorway she had seen a figure, looking exactly like her Father. It would turn to look at her, and her throat would tighten as eyes grew watery. "Dad?" As soon as she said the word, the apparition would smile with all the love and kindness of the world, his head turning then as if indicating something. Avalon's eyes followed in his direction, and there stood someone she had not expected to see. Gargoyle would disappear, and in his place stood her sister.

"O-Odette?" Was she seeing ghosts today? The scents around them lingered, embracing them as if they were all standing together in the room. Tears would slide from her eyes and down her cheeks, the girl moving forward to close the distance between her and her sister. She couldn't believe it, but she had to know this was real. Without hesitance, she drew forth and pressed against her sister. Burying her face into the warm fur of Odette as she began to cry. It had been so long since she had seen any of her family...but most importantly, she was happy to see her sister alive and well. "You've gotten so big!" Was all she managed to say through her tear filled reunion.
