Let Loose

Damn, Ash hadn't thought the north could get any colder and yet here he was. The frigidness in the air and the bleakness of the ashen sky was nearly impossible to escape, but here it cut to the bone. Ashmedai clicked his tongue lightly. He had wanted to find somewhere a little safer to explore with Sparrow, but it sure as hell wouldn't be here. The familiar yipping of coyotes in the distance put Ash on edge. He hated the cold, but he hates the coyotes even more. Couldn't possibly be coincidence that they were here together, could it? Maybe Ash could warm up and take down some coyotes in the same go.
He stalked for a short while and came to see a band of coyotes chomping down on the remains of... something. Ashmedai wasn't interested in the food, but as he approached, the coyotes took on the defensive. Ash didn't waste any time getting into action. So what if he was a little outnumbered? The only good coyote was a dead coyote.

He moved to the north, that was where Theta was, unfortunately it was one of the most dangerous paths. He’d been forced to swim more than once, but eventually he arrived in the tundras without more than a bit of a singe on his blue and black fur. There was no regret in his gait, but as the days passed he wished he was better at acquiring food. The cold was another obstacle, but he was thankful for the thick fur that covered his huge form.
When the massive boy smelled the old carcass he didn’t hesitate to follow his nose. He continued on even when he heard the song of the coyote pack. What were a few scrapes a bruises if he could fill his belly? As he crested the hill to see his find another shape took form. He felt his hackles raise at the sight of another wolf, but the form became vaguely familiar.
One of his uncles. Unfortunately the one that Noir hadn’t been near as impressed with. He couldn’t take the older wolf seriously, he hadn’t recognized him to begin with because he lacked the brightly colored attire. The young Destruction snorted softly to himself as he looked over the inferior scavengers that were coyotes. ”Did I get here just in time for a show?” Noir called over the cold and ice between them.

A voice called out asking if he had come in time for the show. With a quick glance, Ash recognized his nephew. The kid who'd gotten to see the whole ordeal with Peggy. It still wasn't clear if he had been one of the inbred ones or not, but Ash supposed it didn't matter at the current moment.
"Yeah," Ash called between snapping at coyotes. "And I'm casting you as my sidekick!" Ash shoved a coyote off himself and attempted to close the gap between himself and the younger wolf. He couldn't be entirely sure Noir wouldn't turn on him, but with the number of coyotes around them, it might be better to deal with them first. With the two of them, they could make quick work of the mutts.

The blue striped boy watched his uncle as he multi tasked talking and joining his teeth to coyote flesh. Noir smirked at the invitation, he wouldn’t have jumped in voluntarily. Would have been more fun to watch Ashmedai struggle with the pack on his own. He huffed, but the dire boy fell into his defenses easily as the vermin followed after his uncle like the plague. The Destruction boy sighed heavily and thrust himself into the fray with no more hesitation.
Young but huge jaws snapped and grasped for the flesh of nuisance animals. When he found himself with a firm grip on a neck Noir shook his head violently, finding delight in the pained yelps from the canid in his grasp. He shook until flesh was torn from the body. The rest of the coyote went running, but not for long with its neck half gone. He laughed in triumph and aimed after the next one. He let loose like he’d never felt comfortable doing in Abaven, not even when they went after the cougar that had killed his mother.

The boy fought eagerly and not entirely without experience. Ashmedai donned his lopsided smile and continued tearing away at the pack. It didn't take long before the noise calmed and the coyotes lay still before them. Ashmedai turned his attention to his nephew, "You still kickin'?"
Ashmedai took the time to nudge one or two of the bodies. Yup, dead as dirt. As they should be.
"To the victors go the spoils," he said joyously, wasting no time in approaching the leftover meats. He still wasn't hungry, but it wouldn't hurt to take a chunk for later. "You go ahead and take your fill why dontcha?"

Noir unleashed himself, let go completely and indulged in the carnage. Tearing, ripping, shaking the life out of the vermin. He didn’t go unscathed either, with his ruthless fury came lack of preservation. By the time the pair of them were through with the pack of them Noir was splattered with coyote blood and bleeding from a few wounds of his own. All to soon it seemed like they stopped coming at him.
Noir breathed heavily as his attention was reigned in and focused back on Ashmedai as he spoke questioningly. ”Yeah. Are you, old man?” He asked with a tired smirk before shifting to the carcass. Yes. Food.
Ash didn’t seem eager to touch it but Noir dug right in, not caring if his uncle saw how ravenous he’d become. He tore away at the carcass, filling his belly because he didn't know when the next time he’d be able to would roll around. Summer picked carefully at the carcass but also hopped over to the fresh bodies of the dead coyotes.
