Past The Dark, Before The Day

The male would leave Valhalla for a time, wanting to visit his brother whom he knew resided in the Southern pack. Little did he know his brother was an alpha, however temporary, but as an older brother, he would be proud regardless. Long slender legs carried him swiftly, through trees and fields, until finally the scenery would remain open and flat with hills and random shrubs here and there. Although it was winter, snow was scarce in the Southern and Western lands, it wasn't as deep as some parts of Valhalla, and the weather even seemed to be pleasantly warm here.
He would begin to scent the borderlines, and so his pace would slow as he came up a short distance from the territory. He would not be the one to trespass, knowing that perhaps someone here might be hostile towards him despite who his brother was. Jinxx didn't need petty squabbling, he had enough to deal with on his own as it stood. His sister remained missing, though her trail had suggested she had moved towards farther lands, and he would seek her out after meeting with his brother first. He would push away the swirl of emotions that was almost always present in his eyes; instead being replaced by a gaze void of any sadness. He didn't want his siblings to worry about him. Even though he constantly felt at war with himself, constantly thinking about why he still remained in this world, he would not show it. His mother had kept him strong...but she was gone now. Did anyone else even remember her?
Casting aside his thoughts for all but a moment, the cross marked male would call for his brother. He wondered how he was faring, and he couldn't remember the last time he had seen it(for that meeting was incredibly short), but he wondered if his brother would be glad to see him this time around, and maybe even if he had any information as to their sisters whereabouts...or the whereabouts of any of their other family members.

A familier and utterly unexpected call would touch the Covari air as its Alpha finished his rounds in the Swamplands and returned to the Range. He had only recently returned from his trip to see Twig ? and her kids! And for a moment he thought that this had something to do with that. Regardless, it had been a long time since he had seen his brother, and despite their differences he adored his family, and missed Jinxx along with the rest of them.
The boy would make his way towards the border, and sure enough Jinxx would be waiting for him there. He wound bound forward and greet the other boy warmly, bumping his shoulder to the silver wolf in greeting. Perhaps he didn't draw his brother into a tight hug as he did his sisters, but that didnt make his greeting any les warm or friendly. ?Jinxx, I haven't seen you in forver, hows Valhalla? Hows the family?? he would ask.

From the depths of the borders his brother would appear, and his tail wagged slightly upon his siblings approach. He would ask him about the family and about Valhalla, of course it was before the challenge...and that in time. Jinxx would learn who the culprit that disbanded his home was. Little did he know his brother was working for whether known or not, but alas that was a discovery of a later time. He pressed slightly against his cross marked brother, blue eyes seeking out his as he prepared to speak. Though many thoughts constantly snaked in and out of his mind, he wanted to know how the rest of his family was doing, this putting himself last. "Crucifix, nice to see you again. Valhalla is faring well, although something has been bothering me as of late..." He wasn't quite sure what it was, but felt like the calm before a storm. What it pertained to he knew not, but it felt similar to the time before Lunatik demolished their home.
He eyed his brother again, noting that he seemed to carry more confidence about him. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two from his younger brother, but it was still a long ways for him to go. First, he would have to learn to deal with his depression and suicidal tendencies...the self harm and the self inflicted pain. "As for the family, I guess you can say scattered...again. I don't know where Twig went off too, and in her absence Father returned. Angel is doing fine, and I've caught wind of Divinity around." He would wonder then if Cru knew anything about those missing, or even the whereabouts of Twig. He knew he had to know, Twig always seemed to be closer to everyone else then him, although he was partially to blame he supposed...his own mind often kept him from meddling in the private affairs of others, but no longer. Not with Lunatik still on the loose. "Anyway, how have you been lately?"

Oceanic blue eyes would gaze upon his brother, the cross marked males reveling in the time spent together. He was itching to know what his brother knew, and damned be he if he left without any sort of information. However, when Crucifix mentioned Ashley having vanished to a nearby island and the mention of young. His world went still. "Ash...has children?" The news was shocking to him, for he had not expected her to have children so soon after her tragedy. However, he would not keep to dwelling on it. For mention of another family member would strike his ears. Little bird? One of their younger siblings? Would she remain in the lands? Or would she choose to leave? He would perhaps seek her out as quickly as possible, but first he had to find Twig and find out what the hell was going on.
He smiled gently then, at Cru's mention of his leading the pack however temporary. "That's good, it's nice to see our family being trusted with such tasks from those unrelated. I was recently infected...recovered only with the help of Erani." Indeed, the plague had also changed him in ways he felt was unreal. For one, a creature from another realm had been following him. A shadow...a voice only he could see and hear. It seemed to suck all the light out of him, and he knew not what would make it go away. "I've been thinking...it's rather important. Do you have time to listen? It's about our family. What we need to do."

Crucifix would blink at Jinxx in surprise for a moment as the other showed equal amounts of surprise in not knowing of the children.. oops he thought, after all he could have broken that to Jinxx more gently. ?I'm not too sure of the story, but she is finally happy since she lost Fern, and I am so happy that she is finding life for once, and not losing it? he would say more gently now, his thoughts already turning to the rape, to Fern who had followed and then died as Twig began to accept and love her and Themsto who had died slow and agonising, taking a part of Twig away with him each day. He shook his head to free it of the memories, Twig had finally found a peace of happiness, and in the end that was all that mattered.
Jinxx would then show happiness for Cru and his own achievements, and then thank his cure on Erani ? and Cru didn't have the heart to tell him of the struggles Vi and Orchid had gone through to find it, or the fact that Cru had volunteered himself as gunnie pig and had at lat been the cured ? the first cured in Alacritis, or that Vi had travelled to each and every land to give them what they had found.
Jinxx would then speak of family, and Cru realised he was yet to mention anything of his own ideas in creating a pack and the enjoyment Cru had had in leading and organising and ensuring everyone within these borders where happy. He didn't mention it yet, since clearly Jinxx had something to day. ?I always have time to listen, brother ? Whats on your mind??
