I'd rather be dead than live a lie BURN THE WHITE FLAG!
Natha had gone from the extreme north to about the extreme south, traveling and taking in the world around her. At this moment though she was regretting a few things. Scrambling up a tree she twisted around and peered down at the massive grizzly bear that had been chasing her. She wasn't expecting to find one so far south but there he was and he didn't seem super keen to leave her be. The bear circled the tree and then started to climb. Son of a bitch. Natha snarled and hissed, working herself around so she could lash out at the bear, claws just missing the bears muzzle. It snarled and and she yowled.
To be fair, she supposed she deserved it. When she'd caught the smell of fish and saw the group of bears feasting she couldn't help but try and steal a few morsels. Sure, she was a skilled hunter and could get plenty on her own but impulse drove her to try. The bear seemed intent on teaching her a lesson. Well… they'd just see about that. Another lightning fast strike and her claws raked across the creatures muzzle. The sudden pain caused the bear to cry out and fall back down onto the ground, but not before his jaws seized her left arm and she went careening down with him.

Pyrrhic was hot on the heels of a nuisance bear. The beast had done a fair amount of damage to Benkos' horde in a small amount of time. The elder mandrill had been incensed so the horde had been dispatched to deal with the beast. Pyrrhic, friends at this point with many of the horde, felt it necessary to join the hunt. In the process of looking he'd gotten separated from the rest. His howls to alert them of the trail he'd found had gone unanswered so he now followed it alone. The titan would have continued to do so had not the sound of a scuffle drawn him in for a closer look.
He arrived on the scene just in time to watch the odd pair fall from the tree. The bear going after a small cat was enough to solidify his opinion that the bear needed to go. Pyrrhic briefly threw back his head and called for the horde - it was doubtful they were nearby but he had to try - and then he charged forward. The bear had landed on its back which meant it was vulnerable. He would have a very small window of opportunity to do real damage.
His eyes settled on the bear's exposed neck. Where the eyes went the mouth soon followed. Pyrrhic lunged for the left side of the bear's neck. He was coming from behind, approaching the back of the bear's neck. No doubt it had heard him howl but he was hoping it hadn't seen him yet. If he could sneak up on its blind spot perhaps he'd get in a lucky blow.

Natha's body slammed into the bears face, startling it enough to force it to let go and she quickly squirmed away. She was particular about how she wanted to handle close combat and it certainly wasn't going face to face with a fucking bear. A wolf call caught her attention and she scowled. Great. It was bad enough she had to deal with a bear but now she was going to have to deal with a pack of wolves to. There was only so much a cat could take. Then the wolf charged and seized hold of the side of the bear's neck. Yes! Ok, so maybe the wolf wasn't so bad. He was at least on her side for now. The bear roared and thrashed, it's claws seeking to dig into the wolf's side.
Natha lunged, seizing the back of the bear's left wrist, her weight immediately pulling the limb down and complicating the bears efforts to fight off the wolf.

Feeling the beginning's of a retaliatory strike tensing the muscles in the bear's neck, Pyrrhic released his grip on it and spun away. He wasn't quite fast enough. The bear's paw ricocheted off the side of his head and caused him to stumble. The blow lacked the punch he thought it would have and with the angry bawling of the bear Pyrrhic put two and two together. The cat had saved him from getting his head lopped off. He turned back around and saw it hanging onto the bear's wrist.
Knowing it would now go after the cat and fearing the feline wouldn't be able to handle a hard blow, Pyrrhic dove back into the fight. He leaped onto the bear's back and wrapped his forelegs around its neck. A foolhardy move, sure, but he wasn't about to let this bear go. This one had proven to be a nuisance and it needed to be dealt with. Pyrrhic sought to sink his teeth into the back of the bear's neck at the base of its skull. If he could just get a solid bite there he could put an end to this fight right here, right now.

Natha held on as long as she could but with the bear's full attention on her it's fangs dove for her. She let go and scrambled out of the way but she needn't have worried as the wolf leapt impressively onto the bear's back, fangs digging into the back of the bear's neck. From his position he was difficult to reach and the bear struggled and roared, shaking violently. Natha sprang toward the bear, climbing swiftly up it's right side in a few bounds as if it were no more than a large hairy tree. Her right forepaw slashed forward, striking the bear across its face, shredding it's right eye as it reached out to try and swat her. She leapt down, landing steadily on all four paws, ears back and hissing as the bear roared.
