Warming the Toesies

Despite summer being in full swing the evenings this far north still held onto a biting chill. Drífa wasn't keen on working into the night in the pines without a little something to warm herself near. She'd been working on laying the foundation for her green house but now she figured it was a good time to establish a fire ring, something she could return to before the snow eventually buried it. Halla was helping her to lay out stones in a circle to mark the ring. Drífa had to settle for pushing the stones with her paws while the monkey carefully built up the walls. It had taken some time to find flatter stones but eventually they did. Later on she'd look for clay to solidify the ring more effectively.
