She'd been very, very sad since her father had passed away. No sooner had she known him, then he was ripped away. Likewise, her mother and siblings had been really sad about it, too. She had hardly left the den, afraid she'd meet the same fate. But despite her mothers sadness, she was encouraged to go out of the den and explore the pack lands. Her mother told her she'd be safe, because there were a lot of wolves who would be around to protect her and watch her and keep her from harm. She trusted her mom, so she finally stepped out of the den but kept it in sight. At least...until she felt comfortable going further. But that wouldn't be today. Today, she'd go to the furthest tree she could that would still allow her a view of the den, and there she sat and looked up at the sky. She was bigger now since her father passed away...but inside, she felt so little still. Why did he have to be taken away so soon? It wasn't fair! But her mom had said life wasn't always fair, and that someday she'd understand...

There were so many wolves in Winterfell that Kirsi had yet to me. If asked why, she wasn't really sure she had an answer - she'd been spending a lot of her time working on her own fighting skills, not necessarily through actual fights but in stamina-building and scouting the borders, mostly. Well, that was only when she wasn't spending time with Song, which was more often than not these days. But being prepared as just as important as her own personal pleasures, wasn't it? Making sure the rest of the pack was ready too was important.

Even the children - for even if they weren't ready to raid now, eventually they would be expected to, at least that was how Acere had made it sound. That was why her interested was captured by the young girl that stood somewhere near a pine tree, gazing upward at the sky. Though she was clearly not fully grown, she was quite big for her age.. or at least that was how it looked from her perspective. But then again, Kirsi was unusually small. It was hard to tell what the girl was thinking from a distance but she was curious, and so she pushed on, moving to slowly close the distance between them so as to not startle her. "Hello there," she called out softly, letting the faintest hint of a smile touch her lips.
