more to life than flowers

The pups were growing up faster then Zee could keep track of and the more she realized it the less in control she felt. Their destinies yet were still so uncertain and the new mother had no idea if she was helping them on the right track or guiding them down one that could be harmful. After all, Mort was barely a season old and already he had his own issues. Indigo seemed well adjusted, but was he? Zee worried day and night that she'd find another upon a ledge at some point.
She tipped her head back and called for her son. It was to be a training spar, though alongside it she would see how the boy was faring in other aspects in life. He seemed a sweet, well adjusted little man. That was suspicious especially when placed beside Az and Asla the two tiny terrors who were slaughtering animals galore in the tall grass plains. Could her sweet purple boy be hiding a darker persona? Zee had literally no idea anymore - about anything at all, in fact - and was determined to find out.
