Hey There, Big Guy
Killian hunting
Aslatiel had been bored. Utterly bored. She'd toyed with her maps. She'd tormented Odette's chickens. She had crafted a little trap to catch them in. It was all boring. And so, when the big man came looking for the chicken herder, the little princess intercepted him. She informed him that Odette was off doing other things and wouldn't be back for a while. In all actuality, she had no idea where in the hell the chicken mistress was. All she cared about was chasing away her childish boredom and the guy, Killian, would be the ticket. Aslatiel was on high alert. She had talked someone that wasn't her family into taking her hunting! The creamy girl was ecstatic! On small, charcoal dipped paws, she pranced around the large wolf. "What are we going to hunt, Killi?" Already she'd chosen a nickname for him. Already she was enamored with this big brute who she wasn't related to. In her mind, she decided that Odette had better watch out. Her little nose worked, scenting the air, seeking out anything that they could kill and might taste good. She could smell rabbits. She could smell birds. Faintly up ahead there were deer. There were pigs. "Mmmm, there are so many choiceeeeeeees." The girl flailed a bit as she walked, wanting him to make the decision instead of her. "Speech" |
The plan had been to pay a visit to Odette and Dash. Maybe to work on the fencing or even just idly guard the coop. But, he was rather aggressively intercepted by a pup. Her small firm pranced around his legs as she seemingly radiated with energy. Killian's vibrant blue eyes were trained on her with amusement. She reminded him of himself when he was young. Full of that never ending youthful energy. When he was informed of Odette's absence he did feel a pang of disappointment in his chest but he figured he could fill his time with the youngling instead. Rather then allowing her to roam the pack lands and potentially get into trouble. When Asla asked about what they would hunt the male looked around. Fierce eyes scanned the region as scent flowed through a slightly ajar mouth as well as his sniffing nose. He did smell an array of animals but what caught his attention were the Deer. If he could find a Doe for them to sneak up on it would be a good experience for the young one as well as a good catch for the pack's stockpile. "Lets find a Deer." Hefty paws hit the earth as the male sauntered towards the scent. As it was clear they were closer to their prey he lowered himself to the ground and aimed to silence his steps. Blue eyes fell upon the young one as he slowed near some brush, "Stay low and silent. We are close. See if you can spot any tracks and locate the Deer." His voice was hushed in order to not alert their prey. Killian could easily track the Deer on his own but he wanted the young one to learn how to hunt. He wasn't sure of her experience but anything helped at that age.

Killian chose deer as their prey and Aslatiel nodded once. Now that the game was decided, she was ready to do her part. The man began giving her tips on how to hunt and the young lady merely shot him a confident grin, pristine white teeth flashing. She patted his paw and whispered back. "Don't you worry. I'm really good at this." Ducking low, she placed her paws expertly, making not a sound as she moved through the misty forest. The mist helped, devouring her creamy form. Sidling forward quietly, plum colored eyes peered through the underbrush. In a small clearing were three deer. Two does and a yearling buck. The fatter of the does would be the most ideal. Not only would it be slower than the rest, but it would have more meat. "You stay here. Be ready, okay, Killi?" The girl wiggled excitedly and broke away from him. Slowly but surely, she wound her way around the trio of ungulates. The fattest doe was facing her now. That worked well. When she began her chase, the doe would have less time to build speed before it ran straight into Killians jaws. Inhaling deeply, the girl prepared herself. Latching her kitten claws into the earth, she threw her weight into her little paws and shot forward like a rocket. The trio of deer panicked and the other two scattered. Aslatiel was right on the heels of the fat doe. She snapped at those heels and snarled loudly. When the doe tried to veer, she was on it. When it went the other way, she was there as well. The girl was small, but gods, was she ever fast. Deciding to take the straight path; the path of least resistance, the doe ran straight ahead, exactly where Asla wanted it to go. She grinned as she ran and hoped that Killian could handle his part. "Speech" |
The confidence that came from the tan pup was palpable. Killian couldn't help but to raise a brow. He was a fairly confident bastard himself but he didn't see it coming from Asla. The older male tossed her a nod as her form was encased in fog. He'd have to rely on his other sense to keep track of the tiny princess. He followed with silent steps and peered at her as orders were given. Killian couldn't say he expected to be bossed around in the hunting session. But, he would not defy the royal spawn. "Lets see what you got." If she was going to have the attitude of an adult he'd treat her like one. Just as he was when he was young. Killian watched as the pup chased down the fat Doe. Little cream and white paws carried her bullet form after the prey. The male remained low and ready. Suddenly as his time came the Klein struck. Mighty paws hit the earth as his much larger body barreled towards the fat Doe. He wasn't as fast as Asla could be but the strength behind his pad falls carried him just as fast as he needed to be. Killian leapt from the earth and slammed into the side of the Doe. Fangs clamped down on the Doe's hind leg. Sinking his teeth into the meat of the leg and quickly thrashing to make their prey stumble. Though, Deer would march until their last breath. It was now Asla's turn to end it's misery.

She was little and couldn't bring a full grown deer down on her own. Once it was down, however... Once it couldn't run. Once it was helpless and thrashing about... then she could do her part. As she ran the doe towards where Killian lay in wait, she had eyes for them both. She knew right where he was. Aslatiel and Azure had done this many times. She always ran the prey to him since he was big and she was tiny and fast. They had done this so many times by now that, even at her young age, her strides were practiced and perfect. Killian fell into play just as she anticipated and took out the leg on the doe. The hoofed beast went crashing to the ground. She only had a moment, for even a three legged deer will attempt to flee. Curving her little body to avoid flailing hooves, sharp little teeth bit into the doe's throat. Thrashing her head back and forth tore open the soft tissue, severing the carotid in the process. Blood flowed. It squirted, in fact. The creamy girl turned red. Warm life flooded into her maw and she welcomed it. Blood was always her favorite part. She looked so much prettier once it was washed off. The child was beginning to believe that the blood was making her more lovely. With the doe dead, Aslatiel released her prey and turned to the pale male that she'd coerced into hunting with her. "What do you think, Killi? Did I do well? You were pretty good." She would give compliments where compliments were due. He had managed to bring the deer down with one nice bite. Efficient and she liked it. She would take him hunting again if he wanted to go with her. Seating herself, the bloodied child couldn't help but swish her white tipped tail back and forth with pleasure. "Speech" |
