The Ooze ParticipantHalloween 2020 - Spooky CaveChristmas 2019

The sun was just beginning to rise, its rays splaying down on the river that lay before her and casting subtle reflections on the surface of the bubbling waters. Eyrún was awake, but just barely - her night had consisted of a few unusual dreams, one in particular that left her wondering. She'd been with Éldi in the dream; what they'd been doing was less clear. Exploring a dark cavern, perhaps? He'd gone up ahead of her, scouting a passageway while she followed - and then his body disintegrated before her very eyes. His body had seemingly been made up entirely of spiders, and all at once they broke apart and scuttled toward her, consuming her before she was able to react. It was no doubt a bad omen, one sent from the gods herself, but it was hard to decipher and left her head spinning uncomfortable. Sleep wasn't always something that came easily to her, but now she felt her body begging to return to it, and she had to blink the fatigue from her eyes as she wandered down the riverside.

She had no clue what today might bring her. Trying to forget about the dream she'd had seemed like a good enough idea, sure that she wouldn't be able to fully decipher it today, or even anytime soon. A slight frown tugged at the pale female's lips as she pushed on, moving at a slow but steady pace. No real goal, though hopefully something might pique her interest and give her something else to focus on for the moment. Nothing ever went well when she dove too deeply into her own head, and even she was aware of that.

Traveler of birth and blood,Eir was once more up to let her heart guide her to explore the outside world. Adventures were loved and her heart always jumped in joy but of course, she never showed that in a superficial way. Everything she felt like was hidden to allow her common sense to be the guide not her heart. And today she found herself to a familiar location, one she came several months ago. Before she joined Lirim.

In a calm way she adventures herself within the place, and as she found the river at the distance she approached wanting to take a drink. Silently she reached the border and in a slow way she started to drink and allow the cool water to reach her dry throat after traveling all the way here. After she finished she looked around to see what interesting stuff she could find.

Though she herself quite loved adventure, whatever course her gods intended for her was more important than anything else she might want in life. As much as she'd love to stop and enjoy a dip in the river she was wandering alongside, her thoughts were distracted by the dream she'd had and what it might mean. Hopefully she'd see a sign that gave her insight into it, more than she had now at least. While she tried to not dwell on her visions for too long, the scent of a stranger reached her nose and aroused her interest.

She continued her trek along the riverbank, though when a stranger came into her field of vision she slowed her pace, zeroing in on her. Interest shone in her silver gaze as she eyed her, hardly blinking. A drink sounded like a fine idea, though letting down her guard around someone she didn't know sounded less appealing. The pale-coated female quirked a brow as she regarded her, trying to figure out as much as she could about her from merely observing... which, unfortunately for her, was very little. "Thirsty, I see?" Eyrun greeted her with a question, her expression mostly neutral but with the hint of laughter shining in her eyes - and pulling ever-so-slightly at the corners of her lips.

Eir's tongue kept taking as much water as it could, travelling often made the warrior very needy of water, and whenever she could have a drink she would small or big all were welcomed.Eir was one to take advantage of anything she found,to use it on its fullest. That was something her parents taught her to do, and here she was with all of her lessons being implemented now that she was on her own in a way. She felt satisfied in no time, and rising her head some droplets scaped her lips and tongue as she licked her mouth dry.

And there a stranger approached her way, starting to speak as they did. Eir nodded in greeting as slowly turning at them with her own blank expression in place. "Greetings Mis." She would begin taking her time to respond their question. Their expression was blank as well but she could note small hints of playfulness. "I do, and you?" She asked back but sadly she wasnt a skilled talker, she barely spoke a lot in her days. She was more to act more than speak but there were days when she did spoke more. "I am Eir Ragnarok, who do I owe the pleasure of speaking to?" She introduced herself just to be polite to the newcomer.

"Speech"

Eyrún wouldn't be so quick to let down her guard and drink. She was cautious, but even more than that she knew exactly how she herself could be - so she wasn't eager to let a stranger get the upper hand, in an unfamiliar situation. Better to sit back and assess things at her own pace. This situation was no different, despite the thirst that suddenly nagged at her tongue as she watched the stranger drink. "Greetings," she returned her pleasant enough greeting with one of her own, her eyes shining with that faint hint of amusement that they seemed to perpetually display.

"A bit," Eyrún replied to her question, but made no movement to drink - not yet, at least. "I'm Eyrún Finnvi. Messenger of the gods, at your service," she dipped her head and lifted a paw in a dramatic sort of bow. She wore that same half-smirk still as she rose, the kind that made it hard to tell if she was being serious or not at all. Truthfully she did believe her own words; in a sense, though she was hardly a trained seiðr by any means. In another sense, she certainly was not here to serve this stranger, but her own gods, however she saw fit.
