One more. He could do one more. Armando stood up on his hind legs and stretched his front paws up to the sky. He then adjusted the strap on his helmet - damn thing kept cutting into his chin - and threw off the bracers that had been strapped to his forearms. Those things were utter garbage. He got why big predators liked them. In a grappling situation they were pretty helpful. But he wasn't exactly made for grappling wolves, was he? Hell no. So that accessory was out. He'd have to try on another.
Armando shook his head and then rubbed his temple in the hopes of chasing away a headache. It was the helmets fault. While it certainly was a useful thing - no predator would be biting off his noggin while he was wearing it - it sat uncomfortably on his ears. Thankfully he didn't have to wear it much longer.
For the last time today Armando let out a challenging shriek.

Káti was not to sure about this. He knew he needed to work on his fight skills. Fighting and war seemed to be a way of life in these lands from what he'd heard. While he had some basic training he still had a ways to go. He was fully prepared to make an idiot of himself. No, not really. He felt stupid standing in the middle of the battlefield but he just couldn't bring himself to call for an opponent. What if he got some big, maimy, rapey asshole?
Káti was about ready to turn and leave when he heard a bizarre screech. What the hell was that? Curiosity took over and he followed the sound to the strange little source. It looked like some sort of raccoon at first with a helmet on. He stared at it. "Are you looking to spar?" He couldn't think of another reason why the creature had a helmet. He also wasn't sure how he felt about fighting a raccoon. He'd fought one before and they were vicious and nasty and he liked his face attached to his skull.

As a large wolf began to approach him Armando worriedly ran a paw over the spikes on his helmet. He'd taken great care to sharpen the mohawk of metal so that his head was protected, but the rest of him, the soft, squishy rest of him, was exposed to the elements. What he needed was armor to protect the rest of him. Perhaps a trail of sharpened spikes down the spine to make the thought of picking him up by the middle less appetizing? It was worth considering at any rate. He'd keep it in mind, maybe see what kind of attacks his opponents threw at him today.
The wolf addressed him politely - like an equal - which Armando took as a good sign. "Indeed I am. You?" Feigning confidence he wiggled his eyebrows at Kati and made a 'come get me' gesture. "Whadya say? I promise to go easy on you." Oh god please don't let him get eaten. Or stomped. Or stomped and then eaten.

The little raccoon stated that he was indeed looking for a spar. Welp, either way it would be a good experience so he might as well give it a shot. Káti nodded. "Yea, I want to try." At the raccoon's promise to go easy on him he chuckled. "Thanks, I appreciate that!" Káti faced off against the smaller creature and set his defenses. He wasn't quite sure how to go about this so he just dove in. Káti kicked off, seeking to to slam one of his right paw down on Manny's left shoulder. At the same time his jaws launched down as he tried to grab his opponents right shoulder in his jaws. He just wanted to get a hold and try something a bit different. Larger wolves always seemed to go for the scruff of smaller wolves. Either this would be a useful new tactic or a dumb mistake. Only one way to find out!

When Kati launched at him Armando quickly skittered to the side. If he got pinned by one of those massive feet he was as good as eaten in a different setting. So he was not going to let himself get pinned without a fight. While his sidewinding might have saved him from the stomping foot, the jaws were another problem entirely. Those he was going to have to deal with in a spectacularly dumb way. Armando was a special kind of idiot, he'd decided. He was probably the only member of his species to willingly put his head into the mouth of a predator. But, what else was a red panda to do?
After coiling his legs and rolling his head down, Armando launched his head upward in a headbutt. He was hoping to slam the helmet into Kati's open jaws and force him to pull back which would give Armando a little wiggle room. That was about it for all the attacks he could muster at the moment. With his forelegs in the air to aid his headbutt, he wasn't heavy enough for a stomp of any kind and while he could use his claws to scratch like a cat, most of his energy was pointed upwards and he didn't think he could muster enough sideways force to do more than comb the fur on Kati's leg with his claws.

Káti's paw slammed into the dirt as the little creature dove to the side. He immediately adjusted his attack the moment his original target was out of reach. Arcing his head to his left he dove instead for Armando's scruff, though as he moved the red panda rocketed up. The spikes of the helmet cut his cheek but he went with his attack, hoping to grab the scruff before the little creature scratched his eyes out. He still had memories of a raccoon clinging to his face. It was truly one of the most horrifying battles he'd ever been in. Throughout the fight he sought to keep his defenses in place, especially keeping his ears pinned to his head and his shoulders rolled forward to protect his neck as best he could during this fight.

Frik, frik, triple frik! The wolf managed to seize him by the scruff effectively gaining control of the fight in the process. Not that it hadn't been mostly in his favor anyway. Armando had learned his lesson from his first fight, however, and this time didn't panic when he realized the wolf had almost complete control of him. He wasn't done yet; he had some options. It was time for gremlin mode. Armando swung his body forward, his tail and legs windmilling as he sought to propel himself onto the underside of Kati's neck. If he could reach it he intended to latch on with the claws of all four legs and dig them in with all the force he could muster. Simultaneously he wrenched his neck around, writhing in the loose skin of his scruff, and tried to reach up and bite the corner of Kati's mouth.
