Wyndelin glanced to Sunder and Red. He'd met Sunder during their bison hunt but he wasn't familiar with the larger, saber-fanged man or how best to incorporate this interesting mix. "I'm guessing based on the territory we'll be hunting for mule deer. Shall we just try and see what we can find?" He was good finding a mother with a young fawn or looking for a small bachelor herd. He looked to Flikkr who took off into the air to start scouting. "I figure we can howl or call out if we find something?" He wasn't quite sure if the howl would be detrimental or not. Surely the prey of the dancefloor knew there were wolves here by now. This might prove a trickier hunt than he first thought. Did they have to be hunted on the dancefloor? Probably.

Sunder nodded his agreement to Wyndelin and then looked out over the wide expanse. He was unfamiliar with this terrain and unfamiliar with deer in general. Being a rogue, it had never made much sense to eyeball the bigger game Boreas offered when there was no real way for him to get it on his own. This would be a nice change of pace and he was eager for the challenge. "Dis good fo me." He glanced over the territory again and then looked to his hunting companions to see if they had anything to add before slipping away from the group in search of deer.

Being the smallest and strangest of the group was possibly an advantage. He slipped through the tall grasses with ease; the blades of grass slipping off his skin with nary a sound. The only time any of his body was visible over the grass line was when he stopped to looked around. Even then he was careful to keep a low profile and to not lift his head too high over the grasses. The quick peeks were useful, but mainly he was using his nose to track their prey. Sunder had what he thought was a good fix on a possible target. There were only three of them so his first inclination had been to look for a the trail of a fawn, but quite early in his search he'd found a promising trail that belonged to a young buck. The creature had sustained some sort of injury and it was clear from its tracks that it was favoring a leg.

After following the trail for some distance he made up his mind. This was a good one. Instead of howling, which was something he was sure the deer were used to given the abundance of wolves, Sunder opted to bark a couple times instead. He'd heard wolves bark before, but his voice was different. Hopefully it was different enough to avoid raising the deer's suspicion.
