By the time Abby had returned to the water, the sun has sunk below the waves and the stars had started to twinkle above, the sky a rich turqoise which paled where the sun had set and darkened to a dark indigo opposite. Dusk was always Abby's favourite time of day, but now as she was dizzy and inebriated, it was ethereal.
She stood with her paws in the water, admiring the view for the second time. She needed to do this again. She'd been missing out on so much, and it was a little disappointing she had to be this drunk to recall these lost treasures.

Kai was still pleasantly intoxicated. How much had he even had to drink, anyway? He didn't remember drinking all that much, but then again much of the day and evening were blurring together into one big, hazy, beautiful mess. It hadn't been terribly difficult for him to abandon his plans of staying completely sober tonight anyway. He deserved this night, a night of fun and debauchery, didn't he? He'd spent far too long holed up in and around Winterfell's lands, and now he was free, and he was damn well going to enjoy himself.
His gaze drifted to the water, admiring the way the moonlight reflected off the black sand. A peculiarly-marked female drifted into his line of vision, standing at the edge of the water. Was she going for a swim? The water wasn't really his thing but he supposed he could be convinced otherwise. Kai let out a low chuckle as he headed over toward her, admiring her slender frame. While he'd seen a few delicious looking males tonight, it seemed - oddly enough - that his attention was drifting toward the women instead. Of course Kai wasn't one to be worried about stepping outside of his comfort zone, and his confident posture made that very clear. "Now, I've never seen anyone that looked quite like you before," he drawled, slurring his speech his a bit.

Abby shifted her gaze from the horizon to the stranger who approached her boldly. He struck her as quite older than her, but maybe that was supposed to be part of the fun. She'd seen other wolves with older partners, maybe it'd be alright.
Still, he would never be on her radar sober. She wasn't sure what fueled her brave and stupid encounters this night; desperation? Peer pressure? A resounding 'fuck you' to everything that kept her from intimacy in the first place? Maybe the safest answer was all three. Maybe the safest answer was alcohol.
She looked at him, letting a mischievious smile creep on her mottled face. "'could say the same for you." She replied, admiring his tusks. She'd seen wolves with fangs, but not like his. She liked his eyes, they were like diamonds nestled in soft red fabric. She moved from the water, paws gathering black sand as she moved so that they were standing side by side on the beach. "What should I call you?" She hadn't exactly asked for names before, but this man was the first to actually approach her, and so far she'd just been drunkenly invading random men's personal space.

Alcohol was hardly the reason for his boldness, though he'd be lying if he said it wasn't helping let down his walls just a bit. Over the last year or so he'd grown bitter and angry, and that wasn't really who he was. The circumstances of all he had gone through had molded him, but what better act of defiance than letting go of everything that he'd been holding on to for so many seasons? Anger was merely an emotion, one easily let go of. There was simply too much to enjoy in this world to be miserable for long, as far as Kai was concerned. He'd done enough brooding for a lifetime, he was fairly certain of that much.
The female moved from the water, and he watched her nearly unblinkingly as she stood alongside him. "Kai, preferably," he managed to slur out, that same stupid drunken grin creeping back over his lips. Slowly he swiveled himself around, before falling backwards onto his haunches - an act that took far more effort than he'd originally anticipated. He let out a huff as he steadied himself. "And what about you, gorgeous?"

The visible effort it took for Kai sit steadily drew a giggle from Abby's lips, as if the natural clumsiness of drink only affected him. This was very much incorrect, as she paced in circles in front of tusked man, with the attempted grace of a lynx or other feline. Trouble was, her paws seemed to land several feet off target, and she tripped over the tangle of her own limbs for the umpteenth time that night, catching herself once, but on the second collapsing on her side, now laughing at her own inability to do much of anything as the sea water began gently lapping at her tail. "I'm Abilenee and I defy gravity!" She exclaimed, her own words making her laugh uncontrollably. To prove her point she tried to get back up again, but slipped back onto her flank were she stayed, succumbing to the fact that no, she could not defy gravity.
