Stoke the fires of the past
Adelphie
She had been all over the northern area, and her most favorite spot just so happened to be the warmest aside from the geyser. Lurid moved slowly through the terrain, knowing full well that the lava river flowing beneath could make the land above it very unstable. Picking her way through, the giant demon was grace incarnate as she leaped from stone to stone over the various lava creeks. Slowly she worked her way up and found her favorite stone. It was in the center of the molten river, overhanging a lava-fall, where she could see where the earth split apart to create this lovely spectacle of hell. The dark woman had left Kichi to his own devices today, letting him explore his world and learn. The boy was smart, and her miniature polar friend looked out for him, keeping him safe when Lurid could not be around. While the demon loved the boy, she did need a break from him every now and then, it was simple motherhood. Hell, her own mother hadn't been as nice about it. She would often tell Lurid and her siblings that they needed to be elsewhere while she did "adult" things. A smirk formed at the memory, and the dark goddess watched the yellow and red of the lava flow passed her, remembering the fires that brought her here. It was a rare moment that she allowed herself to grieve, in any case, she did so tearlessly and silently, simply appearing to stare at the glowing molten river. Her crystalline coat absorbed the red light and gave her something of a sparkling effect, as though someone had doused her with embers from the lava flows. It was getting close to time to bring her surviving family home, and for once a genuine smile crossed her maw.
The North had very few areas where the purple would find herself engulfed in a warm embrace, however as she walked further and further around the lands she noticed it was infact getting warmer and warmer. It was so welcoming that she could not help but follow the invite provided for her, unaware of any other wolves surrounding the areas. A sigh would slip her lips, wonderful. She could stay here for a while. The grounds were also somewhat heated and as the lady meandered through the land she was ever so fascinated, she has never quite seen a place like this, and would jump from stone to stone, avoiding slipping through the creeks, she wondered who else would dare venture to lands such as these. Adelphie had little fears, but yet, she had not quite yet lived, she was still so young, with still lots to learn and discover, what could possible go wrong. Del would take walk a little further, before turning and almost bumping into the ivory lady before her. At first glance the woman was kind of glistening, like an angel. And yet was found in a place that sort of looked like... hell. The purple nymph would stop in her tracks, coming to a complete halt before invading the strangers privacy, observing her for just a moment longer, she looked very happy to see the river of death it seemed. But we can't deny, it did look rather beautiful, huh? "Oh... hello there, am i disturbing you?" she would question, words rolling off her tongue like single, not raising her voice, but loud enough to get the ladies attention. She was rather beautiful wasn't she? but for now Del would keep such thoughts to herself. "I'm Adelphie" She would state, before appearing back down to the flaring orange substance. So deadly. |
Not long after she settled, the demonic queen would be accompanied by an amethyst pelted dame who remained a smart distance away but greeted her nonetheless. The choice in words immediately amused Lurid, how could she be any more disturbed than she was already? Holographic lavender eyes slid over the well-built frame of the other woman, the witch could appreciate beauty and strength when she saw it. This one could be beneficial, even though Lurid would have to know her better to pass any real judgment.
It wasn't often that Lurid actually found herself interested in the thoughts of another, but the way Adelphie looked down back at the flow of molten rock piqued her curiosity.
Purple lips parroted her terminology, bringing a bright and entertained smile to the dame's face. Lavender holographic eyes moved slightly over the woman's frame, assessing her subtly as she stood in contemplation. "Yes, darling. I am a new mother, as such I am ceaselessly disturbed by one thing or another." She practically cooed at the violaceous woman, dual vocals giving an otherworldly air to the satanic queen. Of course, Lurid was just as twisted as the woman supposed, but there was no way the crystalline creature would portray such things openly. At her remark about being thoughtful, Adelphie replied easily, bringing another teasing smirk to the pallid demon's lips. "You have a good eye, this place would be a mecca in the winters of the north. Valuable." As the witch spoke, she unfurled from her position on the rock and moved with silent, ethereal grace to meet the other within a respectable distance as the unsaid compliment was given. "I am so glad you noticed!" An easy smile formed on the crystal devil's alabaster lips, noticeably puffing up her chest in an almost comical fashion if not for the subtle bulging of feminine musculature. Lurid gave a dark laugh then, her unique vocals making the sound seem whispered, as well as at the expected volume. The dark-minded witch moved to sit once more before Adelphie, a softer smile playing on her lips. "I could agree, very beautiful." Her comment was more pointed than the amethyst woman's had been, "What brings you to the lands, Adelphie, assuming you weren't born here." She spoke eloquently, giving the woman time enough to react before she asked her question. She didn't want to be rude, after all, she needed to play nice. At least for a little while longer. |
Despite the eerie feel of the ivory woman before her, Adelphie was feeling some sort of relaxed, as though today no harm would befall upon her. She would listen as the lady spoke of being a new mother and she could quite help but wonder where the pups are. Isn't it strange to leave children all alone? the dangers in the world are so unpredictable. Del couldn't imagine straying too far away from her pups. so she assumed they must be close by. Not the safest of places here and it wasn't such an easy journey up either, though the purple nymph had no rights to judge withought the full picture. " New mother?" She would say aloud, wondering if Lurid would spill the whereabouts of the child. As the conversation would continue the wicked lady before her would move closer to sit rather close, a smile plastered upon her lips. She seemed to love the comments regarding danger and Adelphie couldn't help but be amused. For a split second she could see the child within the pale woman come out, excited at the thought of being wicked. " I guess i just have a very good eye" She would coo, almost flirty, but not quite so. To keep the chit chat running along Lurid would question her true reasonings for being here and for a moment Del would pause, looking for the right answer. " Family" She would say simply before expanding further " I grew up hearing about one of the greatest packs that ever lived on these lands" She would laugh, realising she must sound like a child. " My grandparents ran a pack, Covari. It was one of the largest documented, i wanted to see these lands for myself and i wanted to learn what made them become so big so quickly" Del often believed it was due to Viridiana, fighting to claim the love for Desiree, perhaps the other wolves wanted to be in a family that showed such loyalty. " And you? what are your goals?"
Lurid knew her companion kept her adopted son safe from any threats, besides, she rarely went too far from the boy. It was after almost a full season that Lurid found herself needing a night alone. So much had occurred, there were things to be done. One of which was bringing her family home, she needed her pack with her, and it was odd to be operating as a lone wolf when she had never been truly on her own. The wicked woman was young, but no so young that she had no life experience, but she belonged to a vast empire off the northern shore of Boreas. There had never been a moment when she was alone.
A smile graced the new empress's face as the woman repeated her words back to her, or perhaps she did not mean to let the words escape. It was entertaining anyway,
When the question came up about her own motives for being here, Lurid listened to the woman tell her reasons. Nodding in understanding, Lurid smiled at the amethyst woman and took her time mulling over her response. Honesty wouldn't hurt in the situation, so she would tell Adelphie why she had come to Boreas.
