There weren't enough things for him to do lately to keep him busy. He was pacing at this point, trying to do anything he could to keep his mind off the former Empress, what he thought they had, what he'd probably lost, and how she let her title go to her far to young daughter. While he supported Venom and her new crown, he couldn't help but resent her for taking it from Deathbelle, even if it was her birthright. She was still a pup, anyway. Malalia was too young and inexperienced to have the rank of Reaper, so Venom wasn't any different. Would Sirius and Zee step back to let Azure or Mortis take over at their age? He doubted it.
With all his pacing, boredom, and depressing thoughts, Magnus was starting to get a little on edge. He needed an outlet, something to hit, and bite, and scratch until he felt a little better. He tried to take out some of his aggressions on a tree, but it hardly worked. Trees can't fight back, so it wasn't really doing a whole lot of help to curb any of his frustrations. Smacking hard at a stray rock and sending it across the plains, his eyes focused on the training rings. With pursed lips, he trotted over heavy footed until he stood centered in the ring and let out a howl, calling anyone willing to put up with his mood to a spar.

The Warlord had been well distracted by the coming of his babies. Spending every moment he could with them and his wife. Soaking in the image of Zee curled about their babies, as though he could sear it into his brain. This. This was what he lived for, why he created a pack and trained warriors. Making a home for those he considered his and loved. For them, for his babies. It was with a heavy sigh, that he untangled himself from the little ones at the sound of a howl, calling for a sparring partner. He desired spending more time with Magnus, the old wolf was a friend of his, and had been taking on a lot of duties well Sirius spent time with his very young children. He owed the man a spar, and he was searching for a partner. Kissing each tiny forehead once, the Warlord parted from the den and made his way to the training ring. He had been cooped up a lot the last few days, and knew the exercise would be good for him. He cracked his neck, and stretched his paws as he walked, loosening his muscles as much as he could. “Magnus” he said in way of greeting as he stepped into the ring. "Speech"

It didn't take long for someone to answer his call. As he paced in the ring, anticipating someone answering, he began to leave a trench where he was walking back and forth. Once he saw the man approach and knew he had to leave his little pups behind to answer the call, Magnus smirked. He loved sparring with the Warlord, even if it meant he lost. The man was much larger than him, so it wasn't something he didn't anticipate. He was getting stronger and better since his time in the Armada, although his skills weren't necessarily lacking when he'd joined, either.
"I was hoping you'd come." His smirk remained, tail wagging a bit as he stopped pacing as the man entered the ring. Maybe he'd have the advantage today; maybe he'd be tired and sore from laying with Zee and the puppies and not have as much built up strength to win today. Magnus certainly had a fire in his belly that he was ready to let out and was more than happy to give it his all against the warlord instead of holding back for some weaker student.
