She hadn't necessarily agreed with the terms of being imprisoned down in the pit, but she had accepted them even if just a little bit. She didn't really see the wrong that she had done. Perhaps the meaning of trespassing but she didn't see her wrong in attacking those that attacked her. She was certainly a strange individual that maybe no one would understand. She couldn't even understand herself. The sun was baking above her she grew accustomed to not moving around and using too much energy in the summer heat. Still, she would try to curl up and make herself comfortable and not too long after would be stirring and spinning around and maybe sitting instead. But she didn't like to move around too much with the injuries of her shoulder. It was getting boring inside the pit and she wanted nothing else but to climb out and move around. If she tried really hard she probably could escape, but there wasn't really a point in trying in the middle of the day and risking heat stroke or more exhaustion and still she was somehow tired at night. Her time in the pit wouldn't make her dwell on what she did to deserve the punishment. But maybe she was thinking about what she had done to let Jupiter down and that was enough to keep her spirits low. She felt now more than ever that she couldn't please anyone in her life even if that wasn't necessarily in her personal goals. Walk "Talk" Think

Abby had discovered the pit completely by accident. She had been walking, minding her own bloody business and then bam, random hole in the ground she almost fell into. She scrambled back from the edge, quite surprised. Why did no one tell her about these things? It was like she was left completely out of the loop from the goings on within the fields. Maybe that would change once she managed to climb to a higher rank, but it didn't stop her from feeling quite offended that no one had decided to inform her of the gaping hole in the ground.

She shook the residual panic, then approached again, peering down, now noticing the wooden grate in place to keep such an occurrence from happening, and now she felt a bit foolish. It wasn't a particularly deep hole anyways. however, she still saw, the form of a fellow canine at the bottom. "How'd you get down there?" She asked, unsure as to whether to help the woman out of the pit or leave her be.

Viper would give the voice that interrupted her alone time a side eye, her head lifting from her curled body. She herself wasn't usually fond of others unless she knew them and wasn't necessarily a likable creature. Only for a moment did she think she could get away with the girl helping her out of the hole. Not that she would go anywhere after. She didn't really plan to leave Fireside if she came out of the pit. She'd probably only go to find Jupiter and taunt him. But she wouldn't think too hard on it. Perhaps she was learning her lesson about being in the pit. And maybe she felt like if she made the woman believe she fell in by accident, she'd be met with more punishment. Viper was usually a lot more of a lively creature but here lately her ego seemed to be getting bruised and in more dramatic ways than just losing a fight. She felt like she disappointed her not-friend Jupiter and for some reason that was playing a big toll on her. She hadn't really felt like she did about him towards anyone in her whole life. Certainly not love, but it was just a feeling she would have usually been incapable of feeling. She'd peek through the wooden grate above her at the stranger not for long before putting her chin back to her paws and letting out a grunt, "What's it to ya?" She would only pause a few seconds before stating, "It ain't a show lady. Go away." At least through her sour tone it may have been felt that her soul was bruised underneath. And she was clearly beaten up physically before she was put down in the pit. Walk "Talk" Think

Abby drew her face closer to the grate to try and make out more details, now noticing the various lacerations the poor she wolf carried. Clearly this woman didn't end up in this pit voluntarily, and she sure as hell put up a fight all the way down. Impressive, given the overwhelming population of oversized blue wolves. She felt a pang of pity though. Whoever had thrown her into the pit didn't seem to care too much about her wellbeing, at least in Abby's eyes. Maybe she could convince someone to take a closer look at her shoulder.

Her ears flicked back and she instinctively shrunk away at the harsh reply, but she didn't leave. She was pretty confident in the fact that she didn't answer to her. Instead, she took a step back, sitting down on her stomach just by the edge. The lady could spit and hiss all she wanted, she'd still ask all the dumb questions she wanted. "What did you do?" She inquired. Maybe, if the stranger chose to cooperate, she could make a case for a brief medical examination, to at least make sure the woman didn't get an infection.

The shadow of the other woman overwhelmed the prison-den, but Viper still wouldn't move or get too excited about it. The woman also didn't seem to care much about Viper's out lash, and though Viper honestly didn't care much for the stranger, it was only a bit admirable to her that she decided to stick around. After a few seconds Viper rose, placing her paws on the walls of the pit and reaching just enough to where her mouth could gently gnaw on the wooden grate above her. Maybe just out of a bored or irritated habit, but she wasn't tall enough to actually get a hold around the holes and do enough damage to chew it to pieces. "I jus' came here to see my friend and they attacked me and threw me in here." Definitely a bit angry exaggerative and the words were molded to the way she would truly feel about it though she had come to understanding that what she did was wrong. Whether it was intentional or not. Torrent had tended to her wounds and had made a trip or two to keep an eye on her, but she wasn't that great of a patient and of course didn't care much for the woman given the job to tend to her. But aside from her more fresh wounds, there were many other old scars around her body. Her most recent horribly healed maim above her withers from before Fireside definitely the most prominent of them all. Though it was still a little hard to see through the grates as it was hard for her to even truly make out the woman on the other side. Walk "Talk" Think

As the prisoner rose to attempt to gnaw at the grates, Abby was given a slightly better look at the woman. She was smaller than her, quite smaller in fact, but he height didn’t strike Abby as abnormal. What properly drew her attention was
The scars laden across her body. There was the recent, the wound on her shoulder and other smaller and less severe cuts, but there was also the Criss-crossing of older wounds, the patch on her scruff looking the most severe. This clearly wasn’t her first time on the rodeo.

She might’ve laughed at the prisoners response, but whether it was a joke or not was unclear and Abby didn’t want to ridicule her even further. “I mean, what law did you break?” Surely the woman would know. It wasn’t like Fireside had a lot of laws to break.

Her eyes narrowed at the woman's question. She had kind of put together her interactions with the other pack members through all the shenanigans that she had in fact trespassed hence why everyone was at her throat while she just came in searching for Jupiter. But Viper found her punishment unnecessary. Not only being locked up in this jail, but being almost slaughtered at the gates. Or in the gates? Whatever. Viper was starting to realize she wasn't like other wolves and perhaps that's why she was struggling with her life choices not just within the last week or so but all the way back to when she left her mother. Not that she was even thinking of Aranea right now, that lady was abandoned in her mind. "I don' know what you're talking about." Her words were not very serious and in fact more full of rebellion and sass. Who could blame her though right? No, Viper was extremely over-reactive given the circumstances. "I told you, I wanted to see my friend and they attacked me." She turned her body back around to go back and angry-sulk into her little ball of shame. It wasn't like she could come outside and beat this girl's butt, not that she actually would but she sure felt like it. Walk "Talk" Think

Abby felt awfully like a parent of a particularly stubborn pup, or maybe a teacher of an uninterested student. The resistance she was getting felt entirely petty and inevitably self destructive. The woman was trying her best to push her away, but the mottled girl didn't exactly notice anyone else willing to talk to her. She let out a tired sigh. "Look, I'm trying to help you." She said gently, but it was clear her patience was wearing thin. She'd still persist for as long as it took to get the poor lady out of a pit, even for a few moments. "What pack law did you break? I don't doubt that maybe throwing you in a pit was possibly an overreaction," It was clear that the wolves of Fireside may not've been the most diplomatic folk, and Abby was sure they could've handled the situation better. "But they wouldn't have attacked unprovoked." She eyed the prisoner warily. Maybe she was more dangerous than she'd given her credit for. Maybe she was trying to release a attempted murderer? She really, really hoped not.

She was getting pretty annoyed with the stranger which was definitely an over reaction on her part. But instead of fighting back with more nasty words and attitude, she would stay there curled up in silence. She wasn't intending to calm herself down but it seemed to have that affect on her as she let her mind go blank and ignore that the woman was even there anymore. She'd stand back up after a minute or so, turning and craning her neck to look out of her ceiling grate, expecting the girl to still be there if she was or wasn't. "Jupiter said I trespassed. But I didn't know." Maybe still a little sour in her tone but definitely not spitting fire anymore. "And some girl jus' attacked me. I wasn't ganna just let her kill me." If Abilene could tell, Viper was at least twice her age though it was probably hard to decipher given the lack of light inside her prison and her tiny form. But she sure didn't act as if she was older than her. Perhaps if they met when she was outside of the pit Abilene would be a lot more wary about who she was actually dealing with. Viper had seemed to learn her lesson at least. Or, perhaps with the wolves of Fireside. If she ever got out of the pit prison, she wouldn't go about hurting any of the other members. But that was something she would have to work hard at showing. Tyrian sure as hell wasn't just going to open the door and let her out. But she probably wasn't as willing to show the effort that she didn't really intend harm on the other wolves and in fact was only defending herself. Walk "Talk" Think

Maybe the woman was a lost cause, the possibility growing in Abby’s mind with each passing moment the prisoner stayed curled into an unresponsive and stubborn ball. Why had she tried in the first place? She felt she had stuck her nose were it didn’t belong. She wasn’t there when the scarred lady was apprehended, she had no idea what she had done or what she was capable of. No, she didn’t know this woman and yet she felt compelled to question, albeit indirectly, her alpha’s judgement, for what? For the prisoner to strike again?

She didn’t leave, but she definitely considered it. But then again, what else was there to do? Pestering a wolf in a pit seemed much more interesting than lounging around in the orchard till sundown, unfortunately for Viper. Finally, after what seemed like ages she heard her shifting within the darkness and she again caught sight of her cyan eyes, but her explanation only brung more questions. “You didn’t know?” She said, question clear in her tone. How does one simply...not be aware of borders? Abby had assumed it was something ingrained within a canid at birth. To recognise the beginnings and endings of territories was crucial, and in less civilised areas, a matter of life or death. Then again, from the scars she could roughly make out through the gaps, maybe the idea of the smaller woman making it out of such trouble made more sense than previously assumed.

But with her response brought a more disturbing question: Did Fireside just throw a mentally troubled woman in a pit? “How much do you don’t know?” She asked cautiously, anxiety creeping into her tone. Maybe the previous comparison of her and a stubborn pup was closer than she’d ever realised. Oh god, this didn’t look good.

To say Viper was insulted was not necessarily true regardless of how she responded. But her ego was hurt given the fact that she had proved herself wrong time and time again. She had let Jupiter down, she didn't know a lot that she should. Her life of solitude had warped her mental growth not that she was entirely aware of that. But she wasn't one to just lay out her faults and weaknesses. Not that she felt like she had any. Abilene would ask what she didn't know and though it would have been a difficult question for anyone to answer, Viper would see herself as better than how the woman looked down on her. "I know lots of stuff!" She'd argue though not enough to point out anything. Her attitude could have matched her lowly cell, but the dent in her ego she tried her best to subside. If Abilene related her to a punk ass little pup, she wasn't far off. Though, to Viper's defense, it wasn't wholly her own fault. It was clear Abby had to approach the situation with a certain amount of tact, and she struggled to find an easier to answer question. It wasn’t Viper’s fault it was difficult to respond to, she’d worded it badly. Only thing was, she didn’t really know who to word it any better. It wasn’t like she’d attempt to communicate with the wolf equivalent of a forty year old with the social awareness of a pup before.

“Look, uh,” she started, pausing frequently. “What have you encountered that you haven’t understood, past or present?” Much better. Hopefully whatever afflicted the woman didn’t affect her memory.

If Abilene could see Viper's expression it was well full of frustration and some of anger. She didn't want to admit what she didn't know, especially with how it ended with Jupiter in the caverns. He played his part well, cool and collected. But Viper somehow sensed his eagerness out of the cave and how her lack of knowledge was definitely overwhelmingly odd overall. Not that she understood why. Her teeth would show slightly as she wanted to go back and curl into her ball of shame, struggling to drag up the recent memories. She hadn't really felt this way about anything other than her first pack, home, and family. She was mostly open about her enslavement in Ruina, but her life in Dauntless was something she preferred to forget and memories she actually altered if she were to ever speak about them out loud. "Jupiter..." she started to trail, it was extremely noticeable that the quick memory she pulled was not something she wanted to necessarily talk about or admit, "told me about making babies. But I... he said bumping uglies?" She would avoid looking up through her grate in fear the woman would find eye contact with her. She was trying hard to recall all his words that weren't entirely hard to forget. Viper remembered select things of importance to her, typically things of emotionally value. And this really was emotional to her very well, whether it came off sad or angry it didn't matter though she was brutal and harsh to deep feelings. "He said when wolves like each other and have fun." She wouldn't pause for long before concluding, "I think I know what love felt like..." Though it wasn't a romantic boy on girl or even girl on girl type of love she was considering. She was relating to the love that her mother had given her. Not that she was even remotely fond of the memories or during that time of her mother caring for and loving her. But somewhere deep inside her she missed the feeling and wished that she had cherished the time with her family more. Even though it's what led her to loathe her parents entirely. Walk "Talk" Think

Concern deepened as Viper elaborated, but it was clear to Abby that the prisoner was being intentionally vague. It left a lot of room for interpretation, maybe too much. Had Jupiter done something to her? She didn't want to assume, but she sure as hell didn't want to dismiss. The frustration started mounting, and she was close to begging the lady to be more clear. Hopefully the whole conversation wouldn't remain like this, the mottled girl was quite ready to either leave or bash her head against a wall.

"Do you not understand sex?" She asked. The woman could've just misunderstood the euphimism, but she'd let the prisoner correct assumption herself. Better to assume the worst. "Did he do anything to you?" She asked afterwards, giving the woman a moment to reply. There was definitely more distress to her tone and face, though subtle. Hopefully she wouldn't have to deliver the news that the alpha's neice was a rapist.

Her frown deepened as she made her statement about love. Was she saying she was in love with Jupiter? Maybe not the greatest taste, but it'd be rude to judge on the few indirect experiences she had had. Still, she had a feeling the guy who held the orgy for his bachelor party wasn't exactly mate material. Not to mention she didn't know if the prisoner had made that statement from a sound mind. Out of nosy curiousity, she made another query a few moment after the last. "Are you sure? What does it feel like?"

Her eyes only flicking to the stranger, she would still not want to make eye contact only for the feeling of embarrassment. But a sex talk wasn't embarrassing that it should be, but instead it was the thought of her simply just not understanding or not knowing. "Yeah, that's what he said." referring to the specific word sex. Jupiter being the charming brute he is was of course playing all his cards right and how he wanted, but when he saw that Viper was well beyond normal, he got the hell out of there. He had simply and bluntly asked her if she wanted to have sex with him so to call him a rapist, at least for her specific encounter, was far off. "He left me, and it hurt me." She admitted, though still leaving out crucial details. Was this what having a girlfriend was like? A friend? It may have crossed Viper's mind even for a second that even though she wasn't actually open up to Abilene, she was sharing more feelings than she ever had. Maybe the solitary of the pit and the extended company because on any normal occasion, she wouldn't have spoke so much about feelings. She really didn't like most other wolves. Her neck did stretch up at the question of what love felt like and it wasn't even really something she could answer. Sharing feelings or not. Her bright eyes searched the grate as she thought, not even sure if she should attempt to find an answer. It was almost too painful and angering to think of. "It's like.... When you're happy and someone is caring for you." which was a stretch for Viper considering she never liked even in her young pup days when her mother watched and provided for her. And even then, when Elias stole her he and the pack were still providing for her and she still hated that. All she ever wanted was freedom and after the abandonment of her father maybe she also didn't want to feel attachment to anyone ever again. Maybe that's why it was so hard to forget Jupiter or hard to shift her unknown feelings around to understand them. Walk "Talk" Think

Abby slowly let out the breath she'd been holding. Maybe she assumed too quickly, but at least the woman clarified before she had time to flig an accusation. Posture relaxing significantly, she tried to think of a good response as she settled down. "Do you want to know about sex?" She asked, completely out of empathy. Being turned down tended to hurt, especially if she wasn't aware of the reason. She thought of bringing up that Jupiter's swift exit had been a good choice, but looking down from the edge she could see the prisoner was humiliated and embarrassed already.

Her last question was more personal curiousity. Abby had never been in love. Sure, a few childhood crushes but she seemed to shake those off as fast as they developed. She wasn't particularly satisfied with the answer, but she wouldn't prod any further. She mentally scolded herself for bombarding the poor woman with impossibly difficult questions. Just because she appeared older didn't mean she knew more than her, or that she could articulate her knowledge any better.

A question that would have been embarrassing for most, even a young yearling, and it may have even seemed like Viper was too though not in a sense of "ew boy and girl parts". But Abilene seemed to understand there was a little more beyond just "I don't know what sex is," even if she couldn't pry it apart and lay out the details. Her neck craned as her eyes peered through the grate, "I don' know... Will it get Jupiter to like me more?" again, not in a romantic or crush scenario in Viper's mind even if it came off that way. If Abilene wanted to explain or give her the talk she would listen and try to understand. But on any normal circumstance, not in a prison pit and trapped with no where to go, Viper would have probably laughed in her face and told her she didn't need her help. She still may have felt that way but it seemed like the lonely days had caught up to her, especially now that she was penned and couldn't hunt or travel. So for now she would be willing to learn just for the sake of the company. But it would be good for her anyway. While Viper’s feelings for Jupiter weren’t romantic, the lack of context lead Abby to assume the opposite, not that she’d bring up the woman’s questionable taste. ”I don’t really... know? I don’t know him.”She admitted. She’d only ever seen the brightly coloured raidsman from afar, and he wasn’t someone she really wanted to talk to. The prisoner’s fixation with him was both baffling to her and quite sad. She just wanted to see him, and she ended up thrown into a ditch. Even now his opinion of her was a priority. Abby doubted that he was worth the beating Viper had certainly gotten, but she wouldn’t pry anymore than she was doing already. “I think it’d help a bit.”

Alright, back to the matter at hand. Maybe Abby wasn’t the best person to be talking about sex, it wasn’t as if she had much experience with the subject matter, but there didn’t seem to be anyone else offering to teach. ”So uh... Most wolves are born one of two different ways.” She began, taking her time and pausing frequently. She wanted to word this as best she could, no matter the blush it brought to her face. ”We label these two as male and female, or man and woman. There’s uh... physical differences as well as mental. They have... uh... different bits. Near the rump. They’re built to, erm, connect. When you connect the two, that’s sex. It’s a means of reproduction traditionally, making babies. But because it feels pretty good it’s also done for recreation. Sex doesn’t necessarily have to be between a man and a woman though.” She fell silent, satisfied with her summary, now thoroughly flustered and uncomfortable. She’d let the woman ask any of the questions she had.

She wouldn't show any excitement as Abilene suggested it might help with her and Jupiter's relationship, but whether Viper even felt like it would or wouldn't she would listen intently even if it appeared she wasn't looking up towards the woman at all times. Viper honestly wouldn't really sense her uncomfortability with the explanation, one of the many perks of Viper. But Abilene was very structured and gave at least the right information especially for a wolf her age and someone who hadn't mothered children yet. She did a lot better than Viper could at least if Viper was knowledgeable. "Yeah, Yeah. I had a brother." Viper would state though perhaps the term penis was not in her vocabulary. The sights and smells of other wolves were how she could tell the differences between boy and girl, but at least mentally Viper didn't see them as different. Boys weren't more superior than girls or alike, all wolves were just wolves to her. So to the fact that sex wasn't only between men and women, it wouldn't really baffle her. Through her very short experience with her parents, it could have been assumed that and man met a woman and they fell in love and blah, blah, blah. But Viper definitely didn't think of women with women or men with men was disgusting. She didn't really have an opinion about it at all. "You say it feels good?" maybe not an expected question, but out of the whole "big" lesson, that would probably grab her attention the most. Maybe that's why Jupiter wanted to do it or whatever. But she tried so hard to do what he was doing so why didn't he just do it? Viper would still be generally quiet and emotionless, but she was feeling a little angry inside thinking that Jupiter was upset at something he could have just done in the first place. Of course she still didn't understand entirely what sex would entail, and it would have to be more of something she would need to experience. Walk "Talk" Think

Abby waited for the questions, and a question she did get. Even though it was only one, she struggled a bit with it. Pleasure was subjective, wasn’t it? It’d be wrong to assume all things inherently good, as it would be to assume all things are inherently bad, especially when concerning sex, which was as varying as it was widespread. ”Generally, yeah.” She responded, mind drifting back to her night at obsidian beach. Not that she could remember if it was particularly good, or compare it to any other experience she had had. Abby wasn’t really a sex connoisseur. ”It depends on a lot of variables, like experience and mood ‘n stuff. ‘Just feeling good’ is sort of the baseline.” She responded with the same flustered cautiousness. ”If you were asking about what it feels like, I think it’s something you have to experience yourself. Don’t think you have to rush though.” she added quickly, a warning she felt it’d be necessary to share. ”Its your choice, no one should pressure you if you don’t want to.” She finished her explanation. ”anymore questions?”
