Having heard of the accident that Aslatiel had, breaking a limb and forced into recovery much like he had been, Magnus was quick to visit the girl. His own encounter with a bear and brought sympathy into his heart when those he cared for had been hurt, so now that the girl had had plenty of time to rest, he was quick to go and visit with her. Even if it was just laying and keeping her company, Magnus would be happy to spend time with her. What would have happened if she didn't make it? Sirius and Zee would certainly be in a fit, not to mention her siblings (though maybe not Azure as much) and what of the rest of the pack? He couldn't pick a favorite Fatalis child between Mortis and Aslatiel, but he knew the girl was high up on his list of favorite wolves. He couldn't even fathom what he would do if she hadn't made it.
Iolaire was a good healer though, he knew that. Magic was impossible, but the healer seemed to wield it in the worst of situations. How he had been saved was beyond him, but Aslatiel too? The woman was a miracle worker, and he's sure she'd heard that before.
Lingering out side the den she was resting in, Magnus poked his head inside to see if she was awake. He didn't want to disturb her too much if she was resting and comfortably asleep, but he'd stick around anyway and wait for her to wake up.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"
The word boredom didn't even begin to cover what Aslatiel was feeling. Not being able to move. Stuck in the same spot unless Basilisk physically lifted her and took her outside. It was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. People came and went but there was only so much that she could talk about. "Hi. Yeah. Still broken. Looking at the same dirt walls. Yep. Bored. Weather. Mhmm... weather." She felt as though she was losing her mind at times. She couldn't expect Bas to wait on her constantly. He had things to do. Skills to acquire. Ugh... this sucked.Laying on her side, Asla stared blankly at the opening of the den. She wasn't expecting anyone. Her mother had squirted out her filthy brood and so she imagined most wolves would be there fawning over the squirming brats. Screw them. She hoped they all died. Family was important, but Asla felt nothing for them. They were the replacements as far as she was concerned. Had Asla and her brother's been enough, her parents should have stopped there, but they hadn't. It was disgusting. Lost in thought, she didn't even notice Magnus at first. His movement eventually pulled her from her dark musings and her purple gaze focused on him. No doubt he had seen the scowl on her face before her features smoothed out. Oh well. "Come to see the old princess in her cage?" Her words were a little bitter, but there was a grin on her face. She liked Magnus, there was no denying that, and she couldn't think of better company to have today. |

Asla looked miserable stuck in a dark den all by herself without anybody to try and entertain her. Of course he knew how hard it was to find entertainment when you were essentially locked up all alone in a den to heal. Magnus was all too familiar with that when he was stuck recovering in Deathbelle's den. He'd been visited, sure, but it wasn't nearly enough to keep him entertained when that was all he could do.
He offered a smile at Aslatiel as he entered the den, laughing lightly at her words. "I know how you feel. It's not fun being stuck in a den all day." He frowned then, settling down before her and reaching out to touch her paw lightly with his own. He wished that he could break her out of here, take her someplace nice to breathe some fresh air and see some sunlight. Putting her in a cart would be too painful with all the bumping around and things, and he wasn't sure of any other way. Carrying her would be much the same. His frown remained as he pondered, but couldn't come up with anything. He suppose he could trap something small and bring it to her to kill... She'd probably like that, actually.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"
The young wolf smiled as the older wolf ducked into her den and came to lay near her. He placed his paw over hers and she allowed him to do so. Others wouldn't have taken such liberties, but she didn't mind affections from Magnus. She never had minded. Aslatiel had a soft spot for him. Maybe it was one of those 'young girl crushes on older man' type of things. Maybe it was just that he made her feel comfortable. She knew that he wasn't judging her or her somewhat outlandish lifestyle. Or if he was, he was damn good at hiding it. Aslatiel trusted Magnus. That was something rather rare. She trusted Indigo. She trusted Azure to a slightly lesser extent. She trusted her father lesser still. Magnus was right below that if she'd been asked to make a list. His words brought dry laughter from the girl and she shook her head. "No it isn't. Basilisk has been taking care of me, but I can't keep him in here all day, even if he tries to stay. I have to make him go out and do things." She'd requested specific meals. That was really the only way to get him out of her fur for a while. She was den-bound, but that didn't mean that he had to be. Purple eyes searched the mans face. "What are you up to today? Any big plans?" From where she lay, the girls nose twitched. She tested his scent, trying to see if she could figure out what he'd been doing and possibly who he'd been doing it with. Nosy. |

Magnus raised a brow at her words, a small smirk playing on his lips. Who wouldn't want to have someone to cuddle up with while recovering? He would've made Belle stay all day long if he could have, but he knew the Empress had things to do at the time and couldn't be burdened with keeping him company all hours of the day. Unfortunately he knew what it was like to be bored while recovering and he felt for Aslatiel being bored and alone all of the time. Even if she didn't want Basilisk to stay with her, Magnus was tempted to threaten him to.
"Perhaps, but it's better than being alone." He shrugged a bit, leaving his paw on hers without really thinking much about it. She asked if he had any big plans and he couldn't really think of anything. The usual duties and chores of course, but nothing exciting or worthwhile. "Nothing really, just the usual." He shrugged again, sounding a bit bored with the daily routine. He'd honestly rather hide out with Asla than go do his usual chores.

"Aslatiel Fatalis"
Asla noted the mild look of irritation on Mag's face and grinned. Was he being protective? Did he not like the fact that she was injured and alone? It was pretty cute, if that was the case. No matter how much she liked Bas or anyone else for that matter, she couldn't be trapped with them for a prolonged period of time. The girl was used to doing her own thing. Coming and going as she pleased. That allowed her to control the length of interactions. Being broken and stuck in one place, her patience wore thin quickly. Magnus kept his paw on hers and the girl didn't pull away or say anything contrary about it. She didn't mind one bit. He confessed that he had nothing to do and the girl grinned again. "My schedule looks pretty open. You can hang out with me for as long as you want." Asla batted her long lashes prettily and gave that sweet, innocent smile. She was far from innocent, but she could pretend pretty well. |

"Speech!"
He enjoyed the time he was spending with the young princess and he'd take as much of it as she allowed, though he wouldn't be too happy about getting kicked out if that's how far they'd go today. Even though she offered for him to stay as long as he liked, he doubted that she'd actually let him. What if he wanted to stay all day? All night, perhaps? No doubt she'd get annoyed with him eventually.
"Well, what do you want to do then?" He smirked, trying to think of something they could do to keep her at least mildly entertained. "I could bring you back some half alive animal to kill?" He offered, a light shrug to his shoulders. If she couldn't get out and actually hunt something, perhaps she'd enjoy the feel of killing something, even if most of the hard work was done already.
