Svala carefully worked her way south without much of a goal in mind other than to explore the Eastern half of Boreas. As she worked her way south through the mangrove she spied an island in the distance. It didn't seem to far away from shore and if she had to guess she was willing to bet she could swim out to it fairly easily. Of course it was always hard to say how things would go with the currents and the tide. She was a small wolf, and easily buffeted by waves though right now the ocean seemed pretty calm. It was a bright, sunny day with a lovely blue sky. Streaks of white clouds drifted lazily across and the breeze was soft, warm and gentle.

Deciding she was up for a little bit of adventure, Svala slipped into the water, shivering lightly at the coolness of the ocean. She definitely didn't care to do this during winter time but the summer was another matter entirely and as she moved through water and kicked her legs she slowly felt a bit warmer. Svala swam, pushing against the currents which thankfully weren't terribly strong. With a little persistence she eventually arrived on the shore of the island and immediately felt a bit wary. The island seemed to be littered with what looked like human artifacts. Strange, cold buildings in unnatural shapes that seemed to be drowning in vegetation. Svala shook out her coat, sending water flying everywhere.

Not far from where she'd come ashore there was some sort of structure mostly swallowed by the water. There were three vertical stone walls but not much else that she could make out. The sea already seemed to be reclaiming it. There were various coral growing on it as well as fish swimming here and there. It creeped her out though, she didn't care to go swimming out to investigate that particular structure. However, the land bound structures were another story.

Svala moved cautiously, approaching the edge of a dense forest. Plants grew in and around the human relics, twisting and wrapping around them as they grew to the sky. A large tree in particular caught her attention. It grew right through the top of a strange metal structure, up through glass that reflected the sun so strongly Svala had to quickly look away so as not to hurt her eyes. She moved closer so the reflection wouldn't cause her such trouble. There she saw a large hole leading into the odd human dwelling. Deciding she might as well check it out she entered.

It was surprisingly bright inside the human cave with the sun streaming in through several locations in the ceiling as well as through the glass. She found herself wondering how humans managed to shape glass so. She had a few glass vials and jars that were human relics but they were small and unassuming. They didn't bother her in the slightest, but a human relic that was so large and imposing was not her cup of tea. Still, she pressed onward. Maybe she could find more useful relics.

Leaves crunched under her feet as she walked, examining the various objects that had been left in the dwelling and harshly dealt with by the elements. The dwelling was divided by walls into straight edges that seemed particularly bizarre when compared to the natural cave walls she'd seen up near Fenrir's Maw. In particular she noticed a large sunken space off to the right. She wandered over to take a closer look. It was very strange looking, like some sunken in area of smooth stone with a little ledge all around and strange looking holes. Carefully she stepped down onto the ledge. It was cool to the touch and her claws clicked along the surface as she walked.

Svala frowned, she wasn't sure she liked this very much. The things in this weird cave were strange and unnerving. She leapt out of the large tub and ventured down a long hallway. It wasn't terribly dark here despite being even farther into the cave. On one side of her was a smooth, straight wall and on the other side were more of those strange walls that were like smooth sheets of ice, those walls of class. She reached out and delicately touched one. It was warm to the touch. Up ahead it got darker and it looked like the hallway lead into blackness.

She hesitated then turned around and headed back. She wasn't curious enough to go all the way back into that strangeness. It smelt very weird and as she looked at the state of the light she knew it was getting to be time to leave. She wanted to get back to the east before dark settled in on Boreas.
